The Cal State San Marcos and El Camino HS cross country teams welcome you to the 1st Annual Cougar-Wildcat 6 Mi XC Relay.  This is an exciting new racing format with 4-man relay teams.  Each member will run an early season 1.5 mi relay leg over a flat dirt trail.  The start, exchange zone, and finish will all take place on the track.  This course is spectator friendly with plenty of opportunity to see your athlete race.

There will be Div I and Div II races, and an open race. Each Div I school may enter 3 Varsity teams and 4 JV teams.  Each Div II school may enter 2 Varsity teams and 3 JV teams. There will be an open (non-relay) 1.5 mile race to accommodate individual non-relay runners.  We will feature a coaches/fan 1.5 mi open race.  

Medals will be awarded (to each individual runner) as follows:

• Top 6 Div I teams in both Varsity and J.V. Races
• Top 4 Div II teams in both Varsity and J.V. Races

And,

• Overall team trophy for Div I and Div II - Varsity Only 
• Merchandise awards will go to the first and second place teams in each varsity race.
