JV results can be found here.
The Upper Woodland course is essentially a three lap course, consisting of two loops of 1717 meters and a final loop of 1553 meters (4987 meters total).
Please have all of your entries posted on athletic.net regardless of whether they are in the varsity or junior varsity races up by 6 PM Sunday, September 13th, as we will be assigning bibs for all competitors. You will be allowed to switch athletes between races.
More importantly, please double check the spelling of your athletes’ last names on athletic.net, as the bibs will have the NAME instead of a race number—we don’t want’ to give your kid a bib with a misspelled name, and we won't have time at the park to change the bib!!!
Some points:
1—We will follow the KingCo format of JV Girls, Varsity Boys,Varsity Girls & JV Boys. Projected time schedule: 5:00pm, 5:45pm, 6:15 pm; 6:45 pm. If we can move up the time schedule, we will.
PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE, DUE TO A METRO LEAGUE MEET ON THE COURSE. BOTH ROOSEVELT AND BALLARD HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE METRO LEAGUE MEET SCHEDULED WILL CONCLUDE BY 5:00 PM. There is a possibility that the meet schedule may be pushed back at least 15 minutes.
2—Both races (Ballard/Bothell/Inglemoor and Roosevelt/Bellevue/Interlake) will start together, and finish using the same chute, but will be scored separately. I toyed with the idea of having two separate chutes, but thought that wasn’t logistically feasible. We are using Hy-Tek to score both meets, thus the importance of having your entries into athletic.net by Sunday September 13th at 6 pm, so I can enter them into the computer, with the assistance of PNTF official Bob Springer.
3—In both varsity races, each school can enter up to fifteen (15) athletes.
4—To add a special touch to our meet presentation, could you please email me the names of athlete(s) from your team(s) that competed in last year’s state cross country championship meet in Pasco? Those athletes will wear a special colored bib, similar to the gold champions’ bib worn by athletes at the recent world championships in Berlin.
5—Howard/Donna from Roosevelt, please give me a list of your parent volunteers for the meet. I’m hoping that you’ll have at least 15 people.
6—Coaches, if you have any extra timing devices with a printer, could we borrow it as backup timers? I anticipate the use of a hand held timer, as well as a Time Machine device from the Seattle Park Department.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email at clubalrd@earthlink.net, or by phone at 206.499.4329.
