The Nicholas County High School “Battle Run” Cross Country Invitational will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. The course is located at Battle Run, just about one-half mile past the Summersville Dam on Rt. 129. If you need further directions, please feel free to call me.
The following will be presented: Top two boy’s teams Top 10 individual boys
Top two girl’s teams Top 10 individual girls
The race will be contested over a course which is just short of 5K. It begins and ends on pavement, and has varying terrain (a few hills, gravel, dirt, grass). Participants in the past have seemed to enjoy the layout (a map of the course is enclosed). The course seems to be great for spectators. The meet will begin at 5:30 p.m. The course will be shown from 4:15 to 5:15. Boys and girls races will run separately this year. The boys will run first, and the girls will run immediately after the boy’s race.
Please e-mail or call me upon your decision to participate in our invitational. Please include the number of runners you have so that I can have packets completed before the meet. I plan on using HY-TEK this year, more information will be provided on runwv.com at later date.
We plan on using www.timetoenter.com for the Battle Run Invitational. Any school planning on participating in this meet will need to enter through this site.
The cost for the meet will be $35.00 for one team, $60.00 for two teams, or $6.00 per individual. Checks should be made payable to Nicholas County High School.
