(10/14/13) - What a day Saturday was!!! The boys captured the News-Herald title by a single point. The girls lost the News-Herald title by a single point. Both races were incredibly exciting!! The kids (Varsity and JV) turned in outstanding performances. 18 runners had lifetime PRs and 10 more runners had season PRs. Logan Kleam became the first Sophomore to ever win the boys race. Other boy medalists and All Area selections were: Cameron Karagitz(3), Kory Johnson (8), Kris Childers (19), and Caleb Keyes (21). Girl medalists and All Area selections were Aly Trapp (4), Chloe Hoye (7), Kendra Cook (12), Tea Greca (15) and Chloe Watters (23). The JV squads dominated the JV race. Top ten performers in those races also received medals. They were Karina Villalobos, Anna White, Rianna Castelow, Airyn Pero, Nadya Woodson, Eric Wilkewitz, John Bajorek, Nick Doran and Kevin Tocco.
(10/8/13) The Portage trip was a HUGE success (again!!). Lots of fun. A big THANKS to all of the parents that helped out with transportation. Cameron Karagitz was our only medalist on the day.
News-Herald Week - This traditionally starts the Championship part of the season and this year is no exception. Both teams head into the meet with a chance to win the title. It should be very exciting!
(9/24/13) The Lady Warriors travelled to the Monroe Jefferson Invitational Saturday and placed 4th. The Lady Warriors were led by Aly Trapp who finished 9th. Other Warrior medalists were freshman Chloe Hoye (21st) and junior Kendra Cook (23rd). This week the girls are idle and the boys travel to the Coaching Legends Meet Saturday at Huron Meadows Metro Park in Brighton.

9/20/13 - The Warriors girls won the second DRL Jamboree on Thursday (9/19) with a "solid pack" performance. The Warrior girls went on a "Bear hunt"!! Aly Trapp, Tea Greca and Kendra Cook led the way finishing 5th, 6th and 7th. The three freshman Chloe Hoye, Lindsey Machinski and Chloe Watters finished 9th, 10th and 12th, all of them were in front of the 4th Wyandotte girl. Hannah Henson finished 16th and was in front of the 5th Wyandotte runner. After 2 Jamborees the girls are in a "dead heat" with Wyandotte atop the Downriver League.
The Warrior boys placed 2nd in the DRL Jamboree #2. Logan Kleam and Cameron Karagitz were 2nd and 3rd. Kleam and Karagitz battled the #1 Wyandotte runner (Jake Coulter) till the last 200 meters. Kory Johnson turned in another solid performance placing 9th. Kris Childers was 16th and Caleb Keyes closed out the scoring in 29th place.
The 2013 CC season is under way!! We had a great turnout and a lot of enthusiasm for summer conditioning.
2013 CC camp was a HUGE success! We had 39 participants (23 boys and 16 girls) for the largest camp ever. Arbs/Harvards, Hudson Mills TT, Warrior games, Sand Hill run, movie night, Zip line, Hayride, campfire made it an unforgetable expoerience.
Practices next week (Aug. 26 - 28) will be 3:00 - 5:30. Meet at and return to WHS.
Thursday is our scrimmage meet with Dearborn @ Lake Erie.
