This was the most successful trip our program has ever taken to the "The Largest Cross Country Invitational in the World". We took more athletes than we ever have, we won more awards than ever before and our team was ridiculous during the post race impromptu dance party (thank you Taylor, Justin, Michelle and Talon).
Also, a special congrats goes out the the Freshman Boys' Team for winning third place in the team race for Division 3!
Girls:
Simone Federici: You had a really solid first time at Mt. SAC. THe hills are really rough and not knowing the course is difficult. You were great.
Katie Gavares: Best race you have run this season. You are very strong on the hills. Impressive.
Illiana Guirant: You looked really good for the first half. We still need to work on making our whole race consistent.
Carolyn Keating: You were strong during a hot and tought day of running. You should be proud of the race that you put in.
Sally Keating: I know that the race was really hard for you. The whole team was proud of how you "powered through it".
Michelle Garcia: A 50 second improvement from last year! Enough said.
Natalie Sypkens: I hope you feel proud of the race that you ran. It was consistent and I was glad to see you find out what you are really capable of.
Lisa Kairy: Freshman year at Mt. SAC is really difficult and you took on the challenge even though you werent feeling well. Great job.
Boys:
Hunter Holthaus: We all run bad races sometimes. We've got to increase the gas tank.
Daniel Wilson: Backing-it-up two weeks in a row! You are quickly becoming one of the stronger juniors in Division 3.
Thomas Sypkens: 17:20 is a great imporvement! We need to work on finishing speed and strength, but otherwise you ran a complete race.
Michael Ortega: You had an awesome first trip to Mt. SAC. Breaking 17:45 your first time is really great.
Manny LaCarra: Seems like you're back. We still have a couple of weeks to work before we will really need you.
David Espe: You ran a good race. We need to get stronger on the hills, but your hard work was impressive.
Ted Paris: It is really good to have you back.
Josh Wilson: Conratulations on finishing 8th in the Freshman Boys' DIII race!
Talon Brodeur: I'm really glad you had such a great time at the meet. You have quickly become an imprtant part of our program.
Bryson Blume: Great race. You looked stronger and more focused than you have all season.
Travis Roth: Not every race can be a breakthrough, but you did run well for your first time at Mt. SAC.
Alex Duberek: Fantastic. You ran an amazing race and a good time for a reshman who has been on the team for such a short time. Stick with this and you could be great.
Andrew Sanchez: I know you really wanted that sub 20:00, but you still ran a great race. Keep working as hard as you have been.
Taylor Wren: I hope you enjoyed your time at Mt. SAC. You were the life of the party!
Justin Hutchinson: Good race, Justin. Wish I could say the same about your Macarena dance skills!
