Notes
This is a grueling practice that simple consists of 20 laps around our hill loop. (5 miles) It is an awesome event. Each runner receives an Ironman T-shirt if they complete the workout. They must not walk anywhere on the hill loop, but they are allowed to rest in between laps. If they walk during a lap, that lap doesn't count. Some of our runners do the whole thing without walking! Parents are welcome to attempt this workout as well! GOOD LUCK! RUN STRONG!

This is THE WORKOUT of the season. This workout gives everyone a chance to prove to the world just how tough cross country runners are! It gives each runner a chance to prove to THEMSELVES how tough they are! Each person who completes this workout EARNS an IRONMAN t-shirt for their very own. It's a great lesson, "if you keep at something and never quit, you WILL SUCCEED!"

We divide the team up into 4 to 6 separate teams and then run a staggered start 3200m race. We score the finish as we would score a meet and award 5 medals to the top five finishers.* (in a staggered start the top finishers are the runners who have improved their times the most) *Coaches may declare a few runners ineligible for medals if they have an unfair advantage over most of the other runners.
