Saturday at Landsburg – 8:00 am.
The evening trail runs (T – Th) are an out-and-back run on the Cedar River trail (Varsity runs a longer loop later in the season). There are many walkers, runners, bikers, and equestrians on the trail during these runs, and the kids run in groups. There are also a lot of parents who run, walk, or bike along with the runners. After the kids return to the parking lot, they ice off in the river for 10 – 15 minutes, and are typically finished by 8:15 or so. Please remind your runner to bring a towel and flip flops (for the river), and a water bottle. Your runner will need a watch (nothing fancy) and, of course, running shoes.
Parents are encouraged to attend these evening runs – the temperature is always a few degrees cooler along the river, and it’s a great time to be out on the trail, whether walking, running, or biking, and it’s a good opportunity to get to know the runners and the other parents.
