State Meet update - another great run by the Bearcats! Bridger finished off his season with a 4th place finish and ALL STATE honors! Despite very slippery conditions (around 500 runners already over the trail before our race started) we had two PR's and four others very close to their PR! As a team we placed 8th out of 34!! The entire team ran very good races! Look out next year!

East Region update - it was a very good meet for the Bearcats! We placed 5th overall, and just missed 3rd place by 7 points! Despite several runners being sick in the last 10 days, most of them still had very good runs! Bridger led the way, winning the individual title! Lincoln and Mikel had big PR's!

Four Winds update - runners were starting to get sick, so we elected to stay home and get healthy!
Rugby Panther update - These Bearcats are on a roll! Another great meet, with all five runners setting PR's! Bridger took it to most of the top ranked runners, finishing 4th behind the top three in Class B! Brennen just about cracked the 19 barrier, and Terry was under the 20 mark for the first time in his career! We placed 8th as a team - just 7 points more than 4th ranked Mandaree! Mikel ran his first XC meet ever, and ran pretty well considering everything that has gone wrong the last month! Lincoln was under the weather for the 2nd consecutive meet - we need him healthy for the home stretch!

Polar Bear update- Another good meet for the Bearcats! Terry started us off by winning the JH race - setting the pace the last half of the race and finishing strong! In the varsity race we ran short-handed, with Bridger, Brennen, and Mark our only runners. They all had good races, running PR's for the 5K. Bridger beat the #4,6,8, and 10 Class B runners - finishing 2nd to Yoder. Brennen & Mark were both under the 20 minutes!

Blue/White update - A huge meet! 40 teams (10 Class A JV) and 253 runners in our race. By far the biggest meet we will run in this year for # of teams and runners. We placed 16th overall, with 5 teams that beat us from the Class A JV ranks. This was our first experience running two meets in three days, and it showed. Everybody looked very tired, and our times showed it. Terry got stung by a bee in the early stages of the race, and it really affected his time. He was a real trooper and finshed the race! Mark & Lincoln both moved up the charts, finishing as our #2 and #3 runners! Lincoln was the only runner with a PR!

Tornado update - Hot! Another meet with above average temperatures. We didn't run as well as last meet, but we still had good results. We finished 5th in the team scoring. Everybody ran PR's by total time because Cavalier is a "short course" 5K - with the garmin's measuring it at about 3.0 miles. Brennen, Mark, and Terry all under the 20 minute barrier!

Cougar update - WOW! Our first meet as a complete team, and it was a very successful debut! We finished 4th behind the three power teams in our region this year. Leading the way was Bridger - winning the first varsity meet of his career, and taking it to the competition, winning by 16 seconds! Brennen was our #2 runner - finishing under 20 minutes for the first time in his career! Mark just missed going under the 20 minute barrier by 5 seconds! Terry and Lincoln both ran their first varsity XC races of their careers and finished with very good times - well under 21 minutes! A great meet for the BEARCATS!

Minot update - Hot & windy! Mark ran his best race of the season with a PR and was our #2 runner! Bridger & Brennen were very tired during the race & ran off the pace a little. Terry felt terrible & I pulled him during the race.

Thunder update - Terry ran a good JH race and placed 5th with a nice PR. Bridger, Brennen, and Mark ran the varsity race. Bridger & Brennen had big PR's and Bridger was the top Class B runner - beating several ranked runners! We placed 9th (out of 16) as a team in the varsity division. The course measured long so times were slower than normal 5k's.

Orriginals update - the JV squad (Brennen, Terry, and Mark) placed 7th out of 18 teams - and the top finisher of the Class B teams! Bridger (varsity) and Brennen (JV) both made the awards podium! Brennen was the top Class B runner in the JV division! All runners started out this season quite a bit ahead of the beginning of last year, with most setting PR's!
