Expectations for dual meets @ Redmond High School

Please sign up your athletes for Wednesday dual meets contested at RHS by the preceding Tuesday (one day ahead) prior to noon.  Please do so at  http://www.athletic.net.  Changes may be made on meet day.  If you can shoot me an email prior to departure at scott.brown@redmond.k12.or.us or give them to me the moment you arrive.  The less changes the sooner we get done, the sooner you get home!  If you'd like, we will send you a copy of what we are running Tuesday at or before Noon.  You should be able to view our entries at http://www.athletic.net.  I will send you a seeded lane assignment sheet on Wednesday prior to NOON.  Know that if you have changes, these may change.  Athletes will not be moved up to varsity once arrival has been made the day of the meet.  They can be added to JV, but will not be added to varsity races.  

My wife is the clerk of the course so please help make her day as easy as possible.  =+}

HyTek will seed the meets by fastest entry times.  Please send me an email explaining your changes to seeded times from http://www.athletic.net.  Translation…if you want a certain athlete of yours to have preference over another athlete of yours, please let me know ASAP.  We will upload results to http://www.athletic.net and you will leave with 1 copy/per bus for your athletes and coaches to peruse on the trip home.  If you want an electronic version (.html or other) send me an email reminding me of this or bring a jump drive.  Though we provide a “tentative” time schedule, remind your athletes to be ready should the meet be running late.  We can run ahead of the printed schedule, but will make announcements well prior to the event start time.

Redmond High School Track & Field Schedule of Events

Definitions

Varsity – top three

Junior Varsity & Freshmen & Exhibition – will be ran together in descending order, always referred to as JV

                Running Events

·         Spikes @ ¼” on track

·         Running order –Varsity (Will Race FIRST) JV (Fastest to Slowest Heats),

·         In running events, Ladies first except in the High Hurdles

·         Varsity Races               – Redmond 3-5-7

                – Visitor 2-4-6

·         JV Races                       – Redmond 1-3-5-7

– Visitor 2-4-6-8

·         Relays                            – Redmond Lane 5

– Visitor Lane 4

Tentative Race Schedule

Field Events

·         Varsity – 3 preliminary attempts, top four places receive an additional 3 attempts in finals

·         All else are considered JV, Same 3-attempts in prelims, top 4 marks (min 1/max3 from each team) receive an additional 3 attempts in finals

·         Reminders

            i.      Finals will not be held up for a running event (games committee decision)

            ii.      Bar will not be held up for a running event (games committee decision)

            iii.      Remember to communicate to the head event official, do not check out too early.

            iv.      JV for PV and HJ will be run ASAP after the Varsity is finished
