105th Skagit County Championships

Here is some basic info. for the Skagit County Track Meet on Wed. April 27 and Friday April 29, 2011 at Burlington-Edison High School. Contact Info. Kevin Gudgel kgudgel@be.wednet.edu

Entries Due: Sunday, April 24. Enter all potential athletes on www.athletic.net
Seed Meeting: Monday, April 25, 6:00 P.M. Burlington-Edison High School Room 552. (Directly across from main office.) We will seed meet from all available entries at that time.
Entries: Each school gets 6 Entries maximum per event. Also, only 1 relay team will be allowed per school.
Entry Fee: Please bring a check for $75 to the meeting.
Meet Workers: Please send me 1 to 2 events you could provide workers for. This will help give equal representation for each school in putting on the meet. B-E will provide, timing, scoring, announcer, clerk, finish line back ups and PV. B-E will also fill in help in events where it is needed.
Scoring: We will score the meet to eight places in every event this year with 9 moving to finals in field events.
Seating/ Concessions: Please have your athletes sit in the large grandstand to the south. This will allow fans to sit in the visitor bleachers. Please have your athletes not wear spikes in the grandstand.
There will be concessions available both nights. There will be no admission cost for spectators.
Facility: 8 Lane All-Weather track. ¼ inch spikes maximum. Discus is thrown on the infield. Javelin is thrown from a grass runway. Football cleats or up to 1” spikes allowed for Javelin. Covered seating for spectators and athletes.
Timing: FAT timing by Pyroflash.
Future County Meets:
*Anacortes will host when their facility is capable. Laconner can host when their facility is capable. Concrete can host when they are able. MVC is able to co-host when they are able. Any of these schools may take the place of a school when it is that school’s turn to host. We will then move each school down to the next year.
