Coaches,
Please have your entries posted by 11:30 on Thursday (4/14). Any changes after that will occur at the field event or with the clerk at the starting line of the race.
*We will have a concession stand open.
*We have a stadium for protection against the rain and I am planning on rain.
*Coaches from each school are asked to help at one of the exchange zones for the 4x100 relays.
*Remind athletes of the no jewelry and no electronics rule.
*We will not be running races in lane 8.
*Our 4x400 exchange zones are very funky, I will explain to the athletes as we go along in the relay (every zone is different)
*Athletes check in with the clerk at the starting line of the race. Field events check in at the venue.
*There will be no postings during the meet but there will be announcements of the top 3 in events. Everything will be uploaded to athletic.net after the meet.
*We do run boys and girls together in the distance races if numbers are low enough.
*800 in usually done in one heat.
*We have a camera finish timing system so everyone needs to stay away from the finish line area so as not to block the camera.
*With weather predicted to be wet, athletes still need to be ready for their events. We will not wait for someone who is not paying attention to when their event is.
*My name is Connie Bates, I am the athletic director and meet manager. I will be standing at the finish line area most of the time.
