South Umpqua Invitational

Coaches:  please have all your entries registered on www.athletic.net by 7:00 p.m. the night prior to the meet.

Entries:  Limited to three entries per event.

Field Events:  3:30pm      Running Events:  4:30pm

Scratch Meeting:  3:00pm  Scratch meeting.  No additions or substitutions please.

Fee:  $60 per team.  Please make checks payable to South Umpqua High School Track

Running The Meet:  We need each team to bring 1-2 people with them to help run events or be back-up timers.  We enjoy putting on this meet, however we continue to need the help in order to continue. 

Facility Concerns:

LJ/TJ:  Weather conditions may affect the long and triple jump!!  There is a good chance that they could get cancelled.  Javelin:  Our javelin area can get really swampy!!  Be prepared for muddy shoes!! 

Pole Vault:  We just ordered new pole vault standards.  We are hoping to have it up and running, but there is a chance that we may not be able to.

Heats and flights will be seeded, with the best marks competing in the final heat/flight.

We plan on having automatic timing for the running events.

We will have three jumps/throws and the top 9 will qualify for finals where they will be allowed 3 more trials.

The 3000 may be combined into one heat depending on the number of entries.

Eight places will also score in each event (10-8-7-6-5-3-2-1).  Ribbons for 1^st through 8^th place will be awarded.  We will be mailing the ribbons to each school after the meet.

Athletes need to check in 15 minutes prior to the event start time.  Checking in will occur at the start of the event.

Starting heights: PV 6-0 and 8-0. HJ 4-0 and 5-0.  PV will go up in 6” increments.  HJ will go up in 2”increments until 5' (girls) and 6' (boys) when the bar will be raised by 1" increments. 

Your athletes may use the locker rooms in our gym at any time but please bring your own towels.
