Coaches - Welcome to the Naches/Riverside Invitational. We would like to thank Highland High School for letting us use their facility, the Naches Track will not be resurfaced until this summer. All team entries need to registered on Athletic.net by 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday (5/4/11). Our goal for this meet is to have district level competition with 1 - 4 place scoring. Welcome to the 2011 Naches/Riverside Invitational on Friday, May 6th, 2011, hosted on Athletic.net. The goal of this meet is to have district level competition that will prepare your athletes for State. Your athlete’s goal should be to place in the top 4. I will send out e-mail invitations to the Schools who have shown interest in this meet by 1/24. We are registering 10-12 Schools into the meet. Have a great season!
The following schools can register now: Highland, Zillah, Kiona-Benton, Connel, Riverside Christian, Cle-Elum, Royal, Wahluke, Naches
Teams on this list have been sent e-mails so they can confirm their registerstration into this meet. I will add additional teams after 2/5/2011 if we have not reached our 10-12 team goal.

All events are contested on rubber except Shot, Discus and Jav

No spikes longer than 1/4”.

Running events will be seeded by times (please be honest).

Space is limited. Do not make camp in the stands (they are too small)

Entry fee: $35 per boys and $35 per girls team (fewer than 7 entries, $5 per athlete). Please pay by May 5th

Medals awarded to all 1st place finishers

Ribbons awarded 2nd – 4th place

For his year there will be a small team plaque for Boys and Girls Team Champions (Trophies at next years event)

Buses may be directed to a separate parking area
SPECIFIC EVENT INFORMATION

For the 800 meter we will see how many entries we have to determine if we will run heats or just have a “waterfall start” for all the entries and run just one heat.

Lane events will be seeded by submitted times. We will run slowest to fastest.

Discus will be thrown on the infield. Please see that athletes do not enter the flagged off areas.

All field events will be 3 preliminary attempts (open pit) followed by 3 final attempts (top 8 in reverse order).
