9TH ANNNUAL DICK WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL
Coaches,
We would like to invite you to participate in the 9th Annual Dick Williams Track and Field Invitational hosted by East Mecklenburg High School. Due to much needed repairs to our facility, this year we will be hosting the 2011 Dick Williams Invitational at Rocky River High School on Friday April 15, 2011. We are inviting all Men’s Track and Field teams in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg and surrounding areas to join us under the lights for what we believe will be a very special night for your athletes.
Both team and runner-up trophies will be awarded. Medals will be given to the top 3 men in each event. This meet will be scored through six places. Entries must be made on www.athletic.net and each team is limited to 2 athletes per event and 1 team per relay.

3. Our meet is the 2011 Dick Williams Invitational (there are a few of them please make sure you click on this one)
4. Register your entries by Tuesday April 12 at 3 PM
5. Print out a copy for yourself and fax a copy to East Mecklenburg High School (980-343-6437) email a copy to andrew.vuncannon@cms.k12.nc.us
6. No entries will be accepted after 3 PM on April 12 and all scratches should be emailed to Richard Prince at rprince507@aol.com by 11 AM on Friday April 15. (Note: no athletes can be entered into events only removed)
There will be a coaches’ meeting at 3:45 p.m. with field events starting at 4:30 p.m. (Discus and Shot Put – 4 throws, no finals, Long and Triple Jump – 4 jumps, no finals) High Jump bar starts at 5’8” and pole vault 8’6”. Running events – all trials set to start at 5:00 p.m. Each school is limited to two athletes per event. The 400 Dash and 300 Intermediate Hurdles are timed finals only. (Coaches, it is important that you be very accurate with entry times.)
Entry fee is $60.00 per team. Individual athletes will be charged $5.00 per event. If a relay team is entered, the fee will remain at the $60.00 team fee. Make all checks payable to East Mecklenburg Booster Club. Payment must be received by Tuesday April 12 or entries will not be accepted.
