General Information:
Entries: All coaches should post their entries on www.athletic.net no later than 8PM on Wednesday, April 11th. NO EXCEPTIONS! Each school may enter up to four varsity girls and four varsity boys in each individual event. We do realize that this may limit your options somewhat, but it is necessary for smooth operation of the meet. Each school may enter one varsity 4x100 relay team and one 4x400 relay team for each gender. Please send a separate roster in each gender to my email or fax to La Grande high school. Please be sure to spell your athletes’ names accurately and provide their year in school (9, 10, 11, or 12) as this information will be entered on athletic.net. There will be no adds at the meet...scratches only!
Parking: Buses and automobiles should park in the gravel parking lot behind the football field, not along the street. Please enter through the side gates by the EOU track. Please do not walk across the EOU football field.
Meet Headquarters: Go to the finish tent for meet packet pick-up, coaches meeting and results.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available in the EOU athletic building. Absolutely no spikes allowed in the building! There will be portable toilets scattered throughout the athletic fields. No showering facilities will be available.
Water, first aid, and ice: These will be made available to athletes at the trainer’s tent.
Officials: All meet officials will be provided by the host school.
The facility: Teams may place their tents on the west side of the track on the grassy hill between the track and football facilities. Please help us keep EOU athletic fields clean by picking up all trash during and after the meet. There is no charge for competitors or spectators, so please showcase positive citizenship.
Rules: OSAA and NFHS Track & Field rules will apply. See www.osaa.org for more information.
Meet Referee: The host school will provide a Meet Referee (a person not on the coaching staff of the host school). The Meet Referee will make rulings regarding any concerns by the coaches or meet officials (starter, event officials, etc.) about conduct of the meet or interpretation of rules. If a school wishes to appeal the decision of the Meet Referee, the head coach of that school must ask the Meet Referee to convene a Jury of Appeals. The Jury of Appeals will be those head coaches not directly involved with athletes involved in the appeal. After a discussion of the matter chaired by the Meet Director and Meet Referee, a majority vote of the Jury of Appeals will determine the outcome of an appeal. The Meet Referee will break any tie vote by the Jury of Appeals.
Scoring: The meet will be scored through 8 places (10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1).
Results: LGHS staff will upload meet results of both individuals and teams to www.athletic.net as soon after the meet as possible. La Grande High School staff will provide printed meet results for each school and the media using the HyTek Meet Manager software system soon after the completion of the meet if readily available.
Awards: As we are not charging an entry fee, there will not be any awards given.
