2012 Guidelines (12/7/11)

This league will be composed of SPC, TAPPS 4A, and TAPPS 5A schools

Events:            The standard events will be in the normal order, but delete the 4x200 relay from all of the meets except the Championship meet.  Some meets may be relays only this season.

Hurdles:          In all hurdle races, except the girls 300m hurdles, the hurdle height will be lowered 3 inches, or one notch. 

Awards:          No awards will be given at any meet except for the Championship meet on Wednesday, March 28^th, 2012.

Entry Fee:       $100 per school for the season for both boys and girls. ($50 for just boys or girls) All fees are payable to Lutheran South Academy. Entry fee money will be used for awards at the championship meet on March 28^th at St. John’s School.  If you host a meet, your league fees are $0.

Starting         

Times:             4:00 PM for 3200m and field events.  Track events will begin about 4:30 PM

Scoring:          For meets with no awards, the host school has the option to score the meet. The championship meet will be scored through 8 places and relays will be doubled.

Officials:          The host school will officiate the running events, while other schools will each be in charge of one field event. The host school will assign field event duties.

Eligible           

Athletes:         Seniors may compete, but only for “no points” only in the non-award meets.  Seniors MAY NOT participate in the Championship Meet.  Athletes who are placing in varsity meets should not compete in this league. Athletes SHOULD NOT compete in more than one meet in the same week.

Entries:           Entries must be done on www.athletic.net and are due by noon the day before the meet.  There will be no additions allowed at the meet.  Substitutions will be allowed at the meets.  For the Championship meet, teams may only enter three athletes or one relay team per event.
