Number of Entries:
Each school may enter 5 athletes in each individual event and one relay in each relay event.
Entry Form Date:
Entries must be on www.athletic.net by 4:00 PM, Thursday, April 12, 2012.
Scratch Meeting - 9:00 AM by the storage shed (Near pole vault pit)
Field Events - 9:30
Running Events - 11:00
Girls Shot followed by boys
Boys Discus followed by girls
Girls Triple Jump followed by boys
Boys Long Jump followed by girls
Girls High Jump followed by boys
Boys Pole Vault followed by girls
Field Event Format:
Throwers and jumpers will be given four attempts. No finals.
High Jump will start at 4’ for girls and 5’ for boys
Pole vault will start at 6’ for girls and 8’ for boys.
Running Event Format:
All running events will be timed electronically with stopwatch backups. Athletes in sprinting events will be run in heats with the faster runners in the first heats. Since we are using electronic timing we will not be running prelims.
Running events will start promptly at 11:00 AM. All athletes will be expected to check in with the bull pen immediately after 2nd call.
Starting blocks will be provided for your athletes.
The order of events will be as follows with girls going first in each event immediately followed by the boys in the same event:
· 3200 meters
· 100/110 m hurdles
· 4x200 m relay
· 100 meters
· 800 meters
· 4x100 m relay
· 400 meters
· 300 m hurdles
· Medley relay
· 200 meters
· 1600 meters
· 4x400 m relay
Places and Awards
Places 1-8 will be scored (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1)
Medals for places 1, 2, 3
Trophies for team champions (boys and girls)
Award for Outstanding male and female athlete given at end of meet.
This is our first year on our new track! Please restrict your athletes to 1/8” Pyramid spikes. Team tents may be set up outside the track as long as they don’t block spectator views. The track infield is restricted to athletes and coaches! No spectators are allowed on the track infield.
