Here are the details for the Rockford T&F Invitational.
Entry Deadline:April 11th
Event Entries: Teams are allowed three entries per individual event. For each relay a varsity heat will be run and a “Reserve” heat will be run with the exception on 3200 M. Relay where varsity and “Reserve” will be run together. The “Reserve” heat will not be scored nor medals awarded and will always be run prior to the varsity heat. Any athlete may compete in the “Reserve” heat though their competition will contribute to their allowable four events for the competition. Individual event heats will be ordered with the fastest going last.
Scoring/ Medals Format: Scoring will be done with an original format with a compromise scoring system between the MHSAA State Championship and the MITCA Team State Championship placing a greater emphasis on “Team” but not to the extent of scoring every competitor. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each event with the winning team receiving a trophy in both genders. In regards to the 100 Dash, 110 and 100 Hurdles and 200 Dash, Preliminaries will be run with the top 16 advancing to finals. The top 8 times will be in Finals Heat 2 of 2 and will be racing for the top 8 positions. The 9th through 16th times will be in Finals Heat 1 of 2 and will be racing for places 9th through 16th. A competitor in Heat 1 cannot place better than 9th and a competitor in Heat 2 cannot place worse than 8th.
