Ken Bell Invitational Track Meet
Entry Fees: $175 per school
ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY: Final entries due Wednesday, May 2 at 10:00 p.m. 2 entries per individual event per school.

Scratch Meeting: The scratch meeting will begin promptly at 11:30 and will be completed by 12:00 noon. Please plan your schedule to be here by the start of the scratch meeting. At the meeting you may drop/substitute an athlete. The meeting will be conducted in the Track Building near the flagpole. Events will not be reseeded or redrawn after the scratch meeting No prelims, All events are finals.
Track: 8 Lanes, red polyurethane, ONLY 3/16 needle spikes allowed – shoes checked.
Note: POLE VAULT RUNWAY IS RUBBER AND 3/16” SPIKES WILL BE REQUIRED
Spikes on sale $3.00 for a bag of 16 needle spikes.All Canopies must be set up on the backstretch football scoreboard area of the track between the fence and the track or near bleachers near press box.
Admission: $5.00
Busses: MUST drop off athletes at the South Track Entrance at Northwestern Michigan College driveway and then circle around and Park in the College CHERRY PARKING LOT ONLY! (Not Cedar or Elm or you will be towed). NO SPECTATOR ENTRANCE FROM COLLEGE DRIVE
Concessions will be available throughout the meet.
MEET GUIDELINES
Keep Infield clear…Infield off limits to non-competing athletes.
ONLY In case of severe weather will the high school gym will be available.
Fastest heat is first heat Heat placement - in all events based on seeded times.
Results and Medals will available in the Press Box after the meet.
Clerks will check in runners in the chute at the end of the front straightaway. This will be the Bull Pen area for all events except the 200m and the 300m (they will clerk at the respective starting lines.
Field Events:
Discus- (Boys first) 4 throws in flights - 2 and 2, no finals
Shot Put – (Girls first) 4 throws in flights – 2 and 2, no finals.
Long Jump – (Boys first) 4 jumps Open Pit, no finals – 11/2 time limit!
High Jump – (Girls first) Girls start at 4'5”, Boys at 5'2” ( 2” raises)
Pole Vault – (Girl first) Boys start at 10’0”, Girls at 7’0” (6” raises til 5 left then 3”)
1600m relay – 3 curve stagger.
Chalk - is available for marking steps for ALL events. NO TAPE ALLOWED!
SCORING - 10 -8 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2- 1 (8 places)
MEDALS AWARDED - All events 1st – 5th place
TROPHIES will be awarded to the Top 2 Teams in Boys /Girls Division I-II, Top 2 Teams in Division III and Top Team in Div. IV – total of 11 trophies.
A team score chart will be kept on the outside wall of the Track Building for your convenience.
Division I-II : Big Rapids, East Kentwood, Petoskey, TC Central, TC West
Division III: Benzie Central, Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, Kalkaska, Kingsley, Manistee
Division IV: Buckley, Mesick, TC St. Francis.
