We are scheduled to have preliminaries in the 4x100, 100, 200, and 400 Meters; both the 100 & 110 High Hurdles, and the 300 Intermediate Hurdles plus we will run slower heats of the 800, 1500, and 3000 for both the girls and boys in event order during the daytime prelims. (The top 12-16 times for the 800, 1500, and 3000 entered in the meet will run in the evening portion of the meet in these events – depending on the natural break in times in that event.)
The field events will run in one session, with prelims followed by finals, starting at 10:30 a.m. with the Girls Pole Vault. The other field events will follow with an 11:00 a.m. start. We will use 2 different starting heights for both the boys and girls to speed up the pole vault. Starting heights will be determined by the entry marks. Your athletes will be entered into the appropriate flight based on their entry mark. All vaulters will be weighed in prior to their event and their poles checked. The Triple Jump will follow the Long Jump finals. We will use two pits in the Long and Triple Jumps (Boys-East Pit & Girls-West Pit); the Boys High Jump will follow the Girls High Jump.
Finals in the running events will begin at 5:15 p.m., with the finals of the Girls 4 x 100 relay. The meet should conclude no later than 7:45 p.m.
Participation - EACH TEAM WILL BE ALLOWED AND GUARANTEED 2 COMPETITORS PER EVENT. SPECIAL NOTE: SCHOOLS MAY SUBMIT A 3RD COMPETITOR IN EVENTS IF THE MARK IS A QUALITY MARK.
Examples: Boys Pole Vault
-A school has one vaulter at 14’ 6”, a second at 13’ 6” and a third at 13’ 3”.
Girls 400 Meters
-A school has one runner at 60.5 a second at 61.1 and a third at 62.0.
In these cases we may allow a third entry. We will not have specific qualifying marks for the third competitors. Please enter a third competitor if you feel the mark is worthy of consideration.
PLEASE SUBMIT MARKS FOR EACH ATHLETE FROM THIS SEASON’S MEETS.
On the meet day we will only accept scratches only - no substitutions. We would appreciate it if you would contact us by phone 541-430-5502 (cell) with your late scratches before you arrive on meet day. You can call in transit to the meet. This will save everyone time. We will still have a scratch and info meeting at 10:15 a.m.
Each school will be allowed (2) overseed marks only.
The overseed marks may be used for one girl and one boy or two for the same gender. Important: We will only accept overseed marks via email. firstname.lastname@example.org

If you have any athletes with names that may be difficult to pronounce correctly, our announcer would appreciate a list of those athletes with a phonetic spelling:

Scoring: No team scores will be kept.
There will be individual awards for first and second, and ribbons awarded for 3rd
through 8th places from the finals of each event. We will also give ribbons 1-8 for
the daytime 800-1500- and 3000-meter runs.
Electronic Entry of all Athletes
Please enter your athletes on the athletic.net website.
Do NOT enter athletes in the ND (night races, 800-1500-3000) division. All athletes should be entered in the Varsity Division. We will move the top athletes into the ND Division once we determine who they are on Thursday night. Thanks for observing this important stipulation!
Timeline for Entries
Entry deadline: Thursday, April 11th @ 5:00 p.m.
The entries will be locked on athletic.net at 5:00 pm on the 11th. No additions will be allowed after the entries are locked.
Scratches: If possible, please phone in before scratch meeting on Saturday.
Late Scratches: Saturday, April 13th @ 10:15 a.m.
We will post the day and night heats of the 800, 1500 and 3000 by 1:00 p.m. on
Friday, April 12th. Go to www.roseburg.k12.or.us/rhs/ and click on the “Twilight Meet” link.
Final Scratch Meeting:
The scratch meeting will be at 10:15 a.m. in the hospitality room on the 13th. Please have at least one coach present to double-check everything.
Please bring your own towels if you plan on showering. Dressing quarters are available.
It would help us greatly with food and such if you could email the number of coaches you will be bringing to the meet. Remember this area will be off limits to all athletes and non-working personnel.
