2007 Mustang Invitational

Location: Horseshoe Bend High School Track
Entry Fee: Entry fee will be $35.00 for each team ($70.00 for both Boys' and Girls' Teams) or $5.00 per athlete. Please bring checks payable to Horseshoe Bend Athletics.
Teams Invited: Camas County, Cambridge, Cascade, Cole Valley, Council, Dietrich, Garden Valley, Greenleaf, Hansen, Horseshoe Bend, Idaho City, Lighthouse Christian, Meadows, Midvale, Notus, Owyhee, Raft River, Rimrock, Salmon River, Wilder.
Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Order of Events: At 10:00 a.m. will be Boys' Discus, Girls' Shot Put, Boys' Long Jump, Girls' Triple Jump, Boys' Pole Vault, and Girls' High Jump. There will be three throws/jumps and then the top 9 athletes will go onto the finals and get three more throws/jumps.
At 11:00 a.m. the running events will begin. They will proceed as follows: Girls' 3200, Boys' 3200, Girls' 100 Hurdles, Boys' 110 Hurdles, Girls' 4x200 Relay, Boys' 4x200 Relay, Girls' 100 m, Boys' 100 m, Girls' 800 m, Boys' 800 m, Girls' 4x100 Relay, Boys' 4x100 Relay, Girls' 400 m, Boys' 400 m, Girls' 300 Hurdles, Boys' 300 Hurdles, Girls' Medley Relay, Boys' Medley Relay, Girls' 200 m, Boys' 200 m, Girls' 1600 m, Boys' 1600 m, Girls' 4x400 Relay, Boys' 4x400 Relay.
Entry Instructions: Each school will be allowed only 1 Relay team per relay event. Unlimited entries will be allowed in distance. Entries will be limited to 3 per school in Field and Sprints. Put your entries in Athletic.net under Mustang Invitational. If you don't want to use Athletic.net, e-mail or fax Jake Ferguson, AD with your entries.
Entry Deadline: Monday, April 24, 2007. No additions after that date, please.
Scratch Meeting: Scratch meeting will be at 9:15 a.m. at the "Boxcar."
Starting Heights: Starting heights will be announced at the scratch meeting.
Warm-Ups: Set up "camp" in the practice field not the Football field and begin warming up. Please keep the Football field clear.
Calls: 1st Call will be made 15 minutes before the event. 2nd Call will be made 10 minutes before the event. Third Call will be made 5 minutes before the event. All athletes should have checked in with the bullpen by the 2nd Call.
Equipment: No equipment will be provided. Throwing implements, as well as vaulting poles and relay batons will not be provided. Please make sure your athletes bring their own. Starting blocks will be provided, but you might consider bringing your favorites.
Spikes and Uniforms: Spikes must be 1/8" or smaller. Any athlete using spikes larger than 1/8" will be disqualified from the competition. Uniform codes will be strictly enforced.
Awards: Medals will be awarded for the top 3 places. Placks will be awarded for the top Boys' and Girls' teams. Medals will be awarded to the most valuable Boy and Girl based on points.
