2008 Kiwanis Track Meet
Location: Lemoore High School Tiger Stadium
Date: Friday, April 11, 2008
Time 4:00 p.m.
Sponsor: Lemoore High School and Lemoore Kiwanis Club.
Mark & Verification: Falsification of any marks will result in loss of invitation for this year and next. NO UPDATES WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER DEADLINE! In the 4 x200 relay, use composite times if need be.
Entries: All Entries must be submitted via www.athletic.net . Please email all questions to jwhiting@luhsd.k12.ca.us BEFORE April 4th 2008 at 1:00pm. NO ENTRIES AFTER THIS DATE AND TIME will be accepted. Questions about entries can be answered by: Jamison Whiting (559) 360-7690
Qualifiers: Top nine marks and three alternates in the sprints and hurdles. Top twelve marks in the field events and 800M run. Top sixteen marks in the 1600 and the 3200 M run.
Entry Fee: The entry fee for qualifying standard meets is $6.00 per athlete and $10.00 per relay team. You must pay for alternates. All athletes who qualify will need to be paid for, whether they compete or not.
Warm-up area: Behind bleachers on north and south side. The football field is not for warm-up. Any athlete not competing will not be allowed in the center of the field. Coaches are not to be on the field. We will ask the coach to leave, and may disqualify your athlete and team.
CIF Each coach is responsible for keeping CIF regulations:
1. No one contestant may enter more than four events
2. An athlete must compete in one class only.
Awards: Individual medals for places 1-3. Team trophies for 1st-3rd places in the following categories: Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity and Boys Sweepstakes trophy for most points in all categories.
Places: Six places will be scored as follows:
1st=10 points 2nd=8 points 3rd=6 points
4th=4 points 5th=2 points 6th=1 point
The weight relay will not be scored. You must have competed in weight events only to run in the relay.
Food: There will be no meal served this year. The Kiwanis Club will have
tri-tip sandwiches available to buy. The snack bar will be open.
Runways: Please have athletes use tape for marking runways or relay marks.
No Radios: The will be no radios or stereos in the stadium. Athlete’s bags will be checked at the gate.
Miscellaneous:
No one but meet officials are to be in the press box.
No glass bottles allowed in the stadium.
Frosh-Soph boys will run 110 meter HH instead of 65 meter HH.
Please stress to your athletes that any problem such as instigating a fight, or fighting, or causing any disturbances, will result in your team being asked to leave.
