34th Annual Don Holder Relays Track & Field Invitational

On Saturday March 29, 2008 Eisenhower High School will host the 34th Annual Don Holder Relays Track & Field Invitational. The meet will start at 10:00 am and will be held at Yakima's Zaepfel Stadium/Holder Track Facility on 40th Avenue. The meet format will be the same as last year. There will be a large number of events in addition to a number of selected relays. There will also be a number of events for Frosh-Soph Boys and Frosh Girls.
NEW THIS YEAR: THROWERS 4X100m RELAY We have added this event to the end of the schedule, immediately following the 4x400m Relays.
The entry fee for the meet is $80.00 for a combined Girls and Boys team.
This year we will be using Athletic.net for all our meet registrations. It will not be neccesary for coaches to contact us directly to register. By adding our meet to your Athletic.net team calendar you will be indicating to us your intention for your team to attend the Holder Relays. You will need to register your team roster by March 26 on Athletic.net. You will then have until noon on March 28 to affect any changes. By using Athletic.net we hope to be able to seed most of the events in advance.
Note: Some of the larger schools will be permited to enter more than one squad in the meet. This privilege should not be abused as it has a tendency to slow down the meet. If you are entering more than one squad in the meet, individual athletes must stay with the same squad for the entire meet. Also, individuals that compete in the Frosh-Soph section of the meet are inelligible to compete in any of the events in the varsity section of the meet.
- There will be medals for winners in all events. Places 2nd-6th will recieve ribbons.
- Team Trophies will be awarded to the top 2 Boys and Girls teams and to the top combined team overall.
- There will be Memorial/Recognition Travelling Trophies awarded for the following events:
- Boys' 4 x 400m Relay
- Boys' 2000m Steeplechase
- Girls' 4 x 400m Relay
- Boys' Discus
- Girls' 400m
- Boys' Varsity 1600m
Admission for spectators will be $4.00 for Adults and $3.00 for Students (w/ID) and Senior Citizens.
A uniquely designed shirt will be on sale that honors the 34th Anniversary of the Don Holder Relays.
A concession stand will be open for the duration of the meet.
