Meet information
- The main purpose of this meet is to have every student athlete from each school participate. Both days will be long ones, but they will great days. Friday will be longer because of more athletes participating that day. JV events will take place on Friday only.
- The meet will start at 10am on Friday and 10am Saturday; plan accordingly
- The JV events of Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump and Triple Jump will have 4 attempts, no finals, and they will be done in an “open pit” style, meaning a participant can come do his/her jumps, throws at any time between 10am-1pm; unlimited entries
- As noted in the attached meet schedule, any throw or jump under the minimum distance will be estimated, and will not count toward qualifying standards
- On Friday for the individual JV running races, there will be multiple heats, no finals, and unlimited entries
- On Friday for the JV runs: it will be all-comer style check in. Once a call is made for a race, athlete will be clerked at the check in tent and flighted according to season best time
- For the JV relay races: 1 relay team per school
- For the V relay races: 1 relay team per school; if there are more than 8 schools entering a relay, there will be more than 1 heat, with schools being flighted according to season best times. Please be sure to note seed times next to V relay entries.
- On Friday for the V running competitions, the 100m, 200m, and the 100/110 hurdles, are scheduled for preliminaries. THE TOP EIGHT TIMES, NOT PLACES, will be in the finals on Saturday for those respective races. All other V races will have multiple heats, if necessary, and the fastest time will be declared the winner.
- For the V throws and jumps and running events: 3 entries per school, must have times/marks accompanying names
- Varsity throwers/jumpers must check in before start of field event. If athlete has at least one mark, he/she can possibly qualify for final
- For the V long jump, triple jump, discus and shot put: 3 prelim attempts and 3 final throws (8 finalists)
- For the V jumps/throws beginning at 3:00pm (Friday): athletes must check in between 2:30-3:00pm. This is also open warmup time
- There will be 10 minutes between flights to allow for warm ups
- Each student athlete in this meet is to wear the numbered bib given to him/her at beginning of season. Schools outside of Region IV will be given bibs at coaches meeting on Friday.
- The high jump will be contested outside at both the north and south ends of the homestretch; please note the day and time of both the JV and V competitions
- Varsity entries are final: no substitutions are allowed after the entry deadline. Be sure to include 6 runners in the relays
- JV and Varsity entries need to be submitted to Athletic.net electronically no later than Wednesday, April 29th, 6pm. There is a lot of data organization to be done before the meet starts. Please be respectful of that process.
- Hy-Tek Meet Manager will be used for entries/results; Pyro F.A.T. will also be used for timing
- The jewelry and clothing rules will be enforced. Please review with your athletes before the meet begins.
- 4 events maximum per athlete in the 2 days combined.
- Concessions will be run by Golden Bear Track Club on both Friday and Saturday
- Non ASD schools: $150 fee for 40 or more athletes; $75 fee for less than 40 athletes
- Varsity teams: 1st place trophies for boys and girls
- Varsity teams: batons for members of 1st place overall teams in 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 800
