Dick Horyna Invitational Track & Field Meet

To all attending coaches,
Welcome to the 2010 Dick Horyna Invitational at Stanfield Secondary School. This looks like it will be a fairly large meet, with about 20 schools participating. Because of this, we will be limiting the number of entries from each school to 3 athletes per event. In the field events, athletes will also be limited to 3 attempts.
Meet entries – please post your entries on Athletic.net no later than 9:00 PM on Thursday, April 15th, 2010. I will be doing my final download of the entries at that time. Any changes after 9:00 PM on Thursday will have to be made at the scratch meeting. Scratches and substitutions only will be made, absolutely no additions.
If possible, try to have your entries posted by Wednesday at 8:00 PM. I will be performing some trial runs with the downloads and with seeding. In the past, I have encountered some glitches in regards to times and marks not coming across correctly, and I want to eliminate all those glitches.
Meet schedule will be as follows:
Scratch meeting 10:00 AM location TBA
Field events 11:00 AM
Running events 1:00 PM
Awards immediately after final running event
For the field events, we will be starting with the following – Girls Pole Vault, Girls High Jump, Girls Long Jump, Boys Long Jump, Girls Discus, Boys Discus, Boys Javelin, Girls Shot. Following will be Boys Pole Vault, Boys High Jump, Girls Triple Jump, Boys Triple Jump, Girls Javelin, Boys Shot.
Bus parking will be over by the elementary building on the west side of the school complex. Team camping areas is limited to the space between the track and the elementary building. Port-a-potties should be available near the elementary building.
All track rules will apply with regard to uniforms and spike length (which should be no longer than ¼“).
Results of the meet will be posted on Athletic.net that evening. Results will also hopefully be posted during the meet.
A $25 entry fee is required from all participating teams.
One final item of extreme importance – please be able to have at least one or 2 people available to help with the meet. I am working on getting some help for the meet, but in case it doesn’t work out, this is my fall-back option.
