For 45 years St. Helens High School has sponsored the Lower Columbia Invitational Track Meet. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to this year’s 46th annual event on April 17, 2010 .
Last year seventeen teams participated to make this a very competitive meet. There were teams from all classifications competing in both boys and girls events. Each team is allowed THREE athletes in each event. This allows you to bring most of your team rather than a few selected individuals. Be sure to put seed times for your relays.
We have a red, Rubber-Acrylic surface on our track and jumping areas. We have covered grandstands. This is a great facility with a very fast track.
Field events will begin at 12:30 PM and prelims in the High Hurdles, 100, and 200, will begin at 1:00. The meet will conclude at 8:00 PM. There will be no scoring as the emphasis is on individual performances and establishing qualifying marks for district meets. Medals will be awarded to first place finishers, and ribbons to second through sixth places.
