Welcome to the Stanfield Tuesday Meet Series! Just the basic info here.
Field events start at 4:00. Running events start at 4:45.
Since we capped the number of schools to 8, feel free to put as many athletes in an event as you like, including relays. However, it would be nice to try to limit yourselves to a max of 4 or 5 per event. If you need to enter more than that, be my guest but just don't go crazy with it.
Girls will run first in all running events. All field events will be open pit, boys & girls together, 4 attempts. This way your athletes can do most of their field events without a lot of stress. Only exceptions to this will be the HJ & PV, where we need to keep things going in turn.
HJ & PV starting heights will be determined based on entries.
Timing will be FAT only (at least that is the plan and I hope it works). Have your runners ready to go at their assigned heats. If they are late, they will not run that race. We plan to sprint through the running events very quickly.
Results will not be available during the meet or immediately after. Results will be posted to athletic.net, but depending on how fast I can process the results, they may not be uploaded until the following evening.
We are now charging an entry fee for all of our meets. This money goes into our track fund and allows us to purchase equipment and maintain our facility. We're asking that each team pay $20 to "Stanfield Secondary School".
The main focus for us with these meets is to allow everyone a chance to compete, especially if they don't get those chances very often at a weekend meet. So have fun, enjoy yourselves, and have a good meet.
