A. Entry Information:
1. Entries must be posted to Athletic.net by Wednesday , April 8, at 7:00pm. Please be aware that all relays must enter a time, the times do not transfer over with Athletic.net like individual entries.
2. An entry fee of $125 will be sent to Springfield High School before meet day.
3. All scratches and replacement entries will be taken care of at the coaches meeting prior to the event. Any changes made at the scratch meeting will not be in the meet program.
B. Competition Information:
1. We hope to continue making this one of the best coed invitational track meets around. The following schools are entered in the meet: Sheldon, Siuslaw, Cottage Grove, Lebanon, Silverton, Springfield, Crook County and West Albany.
2. Field events begin at 4:30 p.m. and the running events begin at 5:45 p.m. Running events will take precedence over field events.
3. Schools are limited to two entries per event, with the exception of relays.
Boys and girls 1500 or 3000
If you have a third quality athlete looking for a time we will consider running them non scoring in these races. Third athletes will line up behind their teammates. Contact Coach Touchette to place a request.
Please use athletic.net for all entries. Competitors will be seeded according to times. The first heat will be the best heat or flight. Please list the fastest time, best distance or height for each competitor.
4. The girls' races will be run prior to the boys' races.
5. There will be only one boys' race and one girls' race in each of the following races: 400M Relay, Mile Relay, 1500M and 3000M.
6. In the running events, all contestants will report to the clerk’s circle in the center of the field on the second call. They will be given instructions at that time.
7. The shot put, discus, javelin, long jump and triple jump shall be run in three flights. Each contestant will get three attempts. The top eight competitors will go into the finals for another three attempts. The finals shall be arranged in a manner which will permit the contestants with the best distance to compete last.
8. The discus and shot put will use sectors according to the National Federation of High School and OSAA rules.
9. The high jump and pole vault shall be in one flight.
The high jump shall progress as follows:
Girls – starting height will be determined by entries and will increase by 2”
increments. The final competitor or competitors may then choose to raise
the bar by the appropriate increments in order to compete to the best of
her ability.
Boys - starting height will be determined by entries and will increase by 2"
increments. The final competitor or competitors may then choose to raise
the bar by the appropriate increments in order to compete to the best of
his ability.
The pole vault shall progress as follows:
Girls - starting height will be determined by entries and will in 6”
increments. The final competitor or competitors may then choose to raise
the bar by the appropriate increments in order to compete to the best of
her ability.
Boys – starting height will be determined by entries and will in 6”
increments. The final competitor or competitors may then choose to raise
the bar by the appropriate increments in order to compete to the best of
his ability.
C. Track Information:
1. Springfield High School will furnish the starting blocks. If a competitor wishes, he/she may furnish his/her own blocks if they are for an all-weather track.
2. Runners may wear flats or 1/4" spikes. Spikes of a longer length are not allowed.
D. Track Conduct:
1. Because of the large number of competitors, those who are not competing will stay in the stands. The track and field shall be kept clear.
2. Coaches will not be allowed at the timers or pickers stands.
3. The press box is for business only. Coaches are asked to not send students to the press box. Results will be announced.
E. Awards/Final Results:

Awards will be placed in an envelope and given to each head coach upon the conclusion of the Mile Relay. Medals will be awarded to the first three places and ribbons will be given for 4th, 5th, and 6th places.

We will again provide individual champion shirts to all event winners. Thank you, Eugene Silkscreen, for your generous donation.

There will be team trophies awarded to the top three girls' teams and the top three boys' teams. Scoring will be: 10-8-6-4-2-1. Please have your teams wait in the stands for the team trophy presentation.

Official results will be available to those schools competing immediately after the meet. Final results will be posted to Athletic.net as soon as possible.
