• 07/02/09 - Special congrats and shout out to Kristopher Carter who was one of a group of Stark County students who were recognized this week for their participation in a civil leadership conference in New York City.  US Rep. John Boccieri, presented Kris and the other students with certificatesof citizenship from his office for thier participation in the conference which was held in on May 11 thru 13.  Way to go Kris!

• 6/24/09 - Congrats to one of our new members Chris Sarkis and the Hoban High School Academic Challege team.   Sure to be one of our High Flying Scholars this year, Chris was the captain of the Hoban team that won the overall academic challenge competition this past Saturday, June 20th on WEWS Channel 5. Again, congrats to Chris and the Hoban Academic Challenge Team!

• 06/7/09 - Congratulations to Melissa Wohlheter (Tuslaw) for finishing 3rd in the 300 hurdles (44.28) and 6th in the 100 hurdles (15.36) at the Division III State Championships this weekend.  And a special shout out to the Lady Knights from Hoabn - Julianna Libertine (1st in the 800m and 3rd in the 1600m) and Brittany Brown (3rd in the 100m and 2nd in the 400m).  Way to go Lady Knights!

• 6/3/09 - Congrats and Good Luck at the State Championships to Sohmmer James (4 x 100), LaNyce Hopkins (4 x100m) and Melissa Wohlheter (100H and 300H).  JETS still in it to Win It! 

• 5/31/09 - What a way to kick off the season!  Led by Jayla Lee who swept the sprints and anchored the Bantam 4 x 100m relay and JaSmyn Martin who won the 100m, 200m and 400m, the Jets flew high at the Memorial Day Classic yesterday at Solon Middle School.  For the meet results click here.

• 5/24/09 -  Twenty (20) Jets qualify for OHSAA Regional Championship in over 30 events.  details..

• 5/17/09  -  Congratulations to former Jet Destin Heasley, now at the Kent State University,  Destin won the 800m run at the MAC Championships with a time of 1:50.  Destin competed with the Jets in 2005 and qualified for the USATF National Championships in Indy.  Destin currently holds the team record for the decathlon in the Young Mens Division.
