TRAVEL RULES

These expectations have been established to promote positive and productive competition experiences for Evergreen athletes. Your behavior on athletic trips should be a positive reflection of you as an athlete, your team and your school. Travel is intended as an opportunity for self-improvement and team success. Behavior that fails to live up to this expectation may result in a loss of travel privileges.

1. The coaching staff will assign a curfew and 'lights out' time on every overnight trip. All athletes are expected to be in their assigned rooms by the curfew time and in their beds with the lights out by the 'lights out' time.

2. All athletes are expected to remain inside the hotel, or on the hotel grounds unless given permission by a coach. This is intended for your safety.

3. Upon arriving at a competition, all athletes must remain within the area designated for that competition, and within the general vicinity of the team.

4. Athletes are expected to support their teammates throughout competition. Working as a team is one of the keys to our success.  

EVERGREEN HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD AWARDS

VARSITY LETTER:
1. Score 120 points on the lettering system during the season.
2. Abide by the Evergreen High School/Track Athletic Contract.
3. Uniform returned by the Awards Night.
4. The coaching staff will have the final decision in marginal cases, such as injuries.

SPECIAL AWARDS: At the end of the season, the boys and girls will have four special awards: Honorary Captains, Most Inspirational, Most Valuable and Most Improved.

Honorary Captians: The captain will be voted on by the team. It should be a person that has provided team leadership throughout the season.

Most Inspirational: The team will vote for an individual in this category. These individuals are athletes that have gained the respect of their fellow athletes through their actions. These people make you want to try harder just by being around them.

Most Valuable: The winner of this award will be the individual that scores the most points in varsity meets.

Most Improved: The winner of this award will be selected by the team. It will be based on constant improvement throughout the season, never giving up, etc.

1 point per practice you attend and complete
5 points per regular season varsity meet you participate in (top3)
3 points per regular season junior varsity meet you participate in
10 points for each varsity standard you meet
5 points for each junior varsity standard you meet
10 points for participating in the District, Regional and State meets
