Directions to Mount Tahoma High School Stadium

Driving South I-5 - Exit 129, S 72^nd St. / S 84^th St.

Take the So. 74^th Street West ramp.

Turn right onto So. 74^th Street

Go straight for 1.6 miles.

The Stadium will be on your left hand side.

            Driving North I-5 – Exit 129, S 72^nd St.

Turn left off the ramp onto 72^nd St.

72^nd St. will become 74^th St.

Go straight for 1.7 miles

The Stadium will be on your left hand side.

Parking: There is parking located near the stadium, near the school on 74^th Street, and behind the stadium off of Verde Street. Please review the facility map for specific locations.

Cost:  $9 Adults, $7 students (w/ASB) each day…or $18 Adults, $14 students (w/ASB) for whole meet

When will we leave?

We will leave at 10:00am on Thursday, May 23^rd.  Please attend classes through 2^nd period.  Meet where we usually meet the bus for travel!

General Rules Information:

All National Federation Rules will govern the running of the track and field meet except as noted in these instructions.

A contestant shall not enter nor compete in more than four events. Any number of these may be relays. A contestant is required to compete in preliminaries and/or Finals of every event in which he/she has qualified at the District meet.

Coaches will not be allowed on the track or field during the meet. Coaches must be outside the fenced area of the track for running events and field events in the stadium and outside the fenced area in the throwing area.

Warm-up is permitted on the track prior to the start of the running events. After the meet starts, the warm-up is restricted to the flagged-off area of the field.  Only athletes warming up for an upcoming event are permitted on the field!!

All contestants must check-in to the clerking area no later than the third call. It is the ultimate responsibility of the athletes to check in with the clerk to find out the progress of the meet.

The uniform rule will be enforced (Page 22-25, Rule 4-3). It is the individual athlete and relay teams’ responsibility to compete in the proper uniform and wear no jewelry.

PLEASE NOTE NEW RULE IN REGARD TO JEWELRY VIOLATIONS:

For the first (1^st) violation, the competitor shall be required to remove the jewelry before further competition and the TEAM shall receive a team warning.

Any subsequent violation by any TEAM MEMBER shall result in disqualification from the event.

Officials will enforce rules related to sportsmanship and unacceptable behavior. (Rule 4-5 - Disqualification, page 25-26) .

Cell Phones/Walkie Talkies/Video Camera:

Cell phones, walkie talkies, IPOD’s, MP3’s, etc., and other wireless communication are prohibited in the event areas, with the exception of meet management. No competing athlete may view video cameras or cell phones during the competition that is active at that time.
