Our HOME MEET with Newberg and Century is at 4:30, just north of the new baseball and softball fields at Forest Grove High School. Parking is along the street behind the high school stadium and north. Staging will be a short walk through a field - volunteers will point the way! There will be port-a-potties on sight but no running water.
We will have course maps, hip tags and pins for teams when they arrive. The course will be on farmland, generously donated by the Spiesschaert family!!! This course takes runners through and around, fields and a grove of poplar trees. Each mile will be marked with flags of a different color, and there will be course monitors helping point the way. It's not necessarily fast because of the terrain, but it is flat and somewhat spectator friendly (probably best not to wear sandels). :)
The Volunteer Meeting is at 3:45 to receive a course map and allow time to get to places on the course!
Athletes need to be picked up after the meet. We should be finished around 6:30. Traditionally, Forest Grove athletes and their families head to Godfather's Pizza after the course is torn down and equipment is taken back to the high school....... we'd love to have you join us!!!
