General:
The inaugural Dallas Regional Home School Track Meet will be held May 7, 2011 at Lovejoy High School in Allen, TX. The Dallas Home School Athletic Association (HSAA) is the host for the meet.
We will have automated timing.
We will have 3 age divisions: 14U, 16U, and 18U. This meet is intended for middle/high school home schooled athletes.
We have custom medals for 1st-3rd and ribbons for 4th-6th.
Registration details available at www.HSAAregionals.org. YOU MUST REGISTER on this website! There are instructions for teams who prefer registering as a group (waiver form, etc) rather than individually. If there are athletes that are entered on www.athletic.net , but not on our meet website, we will attempt to send an email reminding them to register. Deadline for athletic.net entries will be locked May 4, 2011 at 6pm.
Eligibility:
Athletes must be home schooled to participate in this meet. Because homeschooling is so diverse, the eligibility criteria is listed on our website: www.HSAA.org. The requirements for this meet align with the National Christian Home School Basketball championships (http://nchclive.com/), as well as the Home School World Series Association (HWSA) National Baseball Championships (http://hwsa.net/). For clarification purposes, a normal course load for a full-time student is six (6) core courses; therefore, if a student-athlete is taking more than three (3) courses at a public, private, vocational, or college institution, he/she is not considered 50% homeschooled.
