Welcome everyone to the 51st Shelton Invite.
I will be sending out some updates in the next week or so..
For those of you who are new, a few items..
We have limited fields so it is very important that you verify you athlete can make the meet prior to entering them. You will be billed for the number of athletes accepted to the meet on deadline day. If you athlete is entered, accepted and then doesn't attend it takes away the opportunity for another athlete to participate.
General Notes for everyone regarding schedule, entries and highlights of meet:
1. We will be tweaking the schedule slightly and I will send everyone an email when it is complete and posted to our website.
2. We will be running a few Frosh/Soph events again this year. they will be posted on schedule as soon as it is updated
3. Nancy will be back back to host the coaches lunch room for the 8th straight year.. (be nice to her, she's my mom)
4. Medals to to 6 placers. Thanks to South Sound Running, Nike Championship bags with Name, event, time/distance will again go to Champion in each event.
5. Flowers for all girls on Awards stands
6. T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Sweats ect will be avaliable for purchase. Northwest Designs will again be handling that for us this year .
7. Full Concession stand will be available during meet. Hamburgers, Nacho's ect.
8. All events are confined within the Stadium including disc and Javelin. No athlete or coach are allowed on the field unless participating.
9. We will have the adjoining field for warmup and Huff and Puff running trail directly across from the stadium are available for warmups
10. We will have official clerking area on South end of Stadium. Athletes must report by Second Call.
11. Entry deadline is April 26th, 2011 at 10:00 pm
12. We will notify all coaches of accepted athletes on April 27th prior to Noon
13. Any improvement in times/distances for seeding may be submitted by email to myself up to Thursday April 28th at 10:00 pm
14. The meet will be seeded on meet day just prior to each event. This guarantees proper lane assignments based on seeding times.
15. Entry fees for each team will be emailed after 27th. Please do not bring entry fees to the meet. Have them mailed after the meet so that they can be better accounted for..
16. Everyone pray for sunshine.. it has been in short supply this year and last...
