Dear Coach:
The 23rd Annual Shoreline Invitational Boys Track Meet is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2011. Our field events will start at 12:00 p.m. Running events will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Last year the Shoreline Invitational was pleased to host 78 teams. Preliminaries will be run only in the 110 hurdles, 100 and 200 meter dashes. All other track events will have timed heats to determine final placings. Each school may have one entry per event, with an additional entry allowed, provided the qualifying standard for that event has been met by both entrants this track season.
We will again be using Athletic.net for meet entries. Please go to www.athletic.net to register your team for the Shoreline Invitational. If you are not yet a registered user of Athletic.net, follow the instructions on how to become a registered member (no charge). You must first register before trying to submit meet entries.
Please note you may enter only one runner in the 3200m. Enter your athlete in the varsity heat on Athletic.net. Please refer to #16 in the instructions for explanation of where your runner will be placed in the meet. Due to large numbers in the Frosh/Soph 1600m, we may be splitting the field in half and run two heats. Heats will be divided evenly by time.
This year we have moved the entry deadline back one day to hopefully create a more accurate program with fewer changes. THE DEADLINE FOR ENTERING ATHLETES IS TUESDAY, APRIL 26TH @ 1:00PM. Late entries will result in a $10.00 late entry fee. Please respect our deadline for program and seeding purposes.
Included here is an instruction sheet, the order of events and 2nd entry standards. When registering your entries on Athletic.net, be sure to include entry marks. PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE ENTRY TIMES FOR ALL RELAYS including Sprint Medley Relay and Distance Medley relay best estimates. To help us with data upload, please ensure entry times for relays are listed with the name of the runner you list first.
We will again have individual awards - medals for the top eight places, a championship trophy, electronic timing and quality officiating.
The entry fee is $125.00 per team or $20.00 per individual. Entry fees must be paid in advance. No refunds will be issued if cancellations occur after Friday, April 23, 2011 Payment must be received in the Athletics Office at the above address by 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 25th.
Please note that we adhere to WIAA sanctions, and that all participants must be accompanied by a coach while at the stadium for the entire time of competition. Athletes or parents will not be allowed to pick up the team packet.
