New Plymouth High School is proud to host the 2A District III Track and Field Meet at New Plymouth on May 13 & 14. In addition to this letter you will find:

All entries are due on line at athletic.net, no later than Tuesday, May 10, at 6:00 pm. You may make any online scratches by Thursday, May 13th, by 3:00pm. No additions may be made after the Tuesday deadline. The meet will be seeded using the Hy-Tek meet manager program. The schedule for the 2-day meet is as follows:

Schedule: 3:30 – Scratch Meeting 9:30– Scratch Meeting
4:00 – Field Events 11:00 – Field Events
5:00 – Running Events 12:30 – Running Events
To ensure that the meet runs smoothly, the following items should be noted:
1. A coach’s scratch meeting will be held promptly at the bull pen on both days.
2. All managers, spectators and non-participating athletes will be required to stay off the football field during the meet. Teams should set up off of the infield and outside the perimeter of the track. Please leave the bleachers open for patrons! Help us in enforcing this request.
3. Athletes or coaches who run beside the track for the purpose of encouraging a teammate will cause disqualification. Please instruct your team.
4. Athletes must use spikes no longer than ¼ inch and must compete in a school issued uniform.
5. Coaches: It is your responsibility to instruct your event judges in the rules of the event. Please go over the correct procedures and current rules PRIOR to the meet. There will be a current rule sheet attached to the clipboard for reference.
6. All relay entries must be turned in at the scratch meeting for any relays competing that day.
7. Throwing implements must be certified (weighed) prior to use in competition. Please bring all implements to the concession stand for weight certification prior to the event.
8. All athletes must check in with the clerk in the bullpen on the 2nd call. Do not
report directly to the starting line!
9. Please instruct your athletes to remain in their lanes after the race and return to
the finish line.
10. Admission: Adults - $5.00. Students w/activity card - $3.00. Students w/o activity
card - $5.00. Senior citizens - $3.00. The only passes accepted will be IHSAA cards.
11. Medals (1st/2nd/3rd) will be awarded at the meet during breaks. The Team Championship will be awarded at the conclusion of the meet. Please help us get the athletes to the awards area as quickly as possible.
12. Starting blocks will be furnished.
13. All National Federation rules are in effect.
14. Please treat all event judges, workers, timers, and meet officials with respect. They are here for your benefit!
