INTERSTATE INVITATIONAL INFORMATION 2011
SIGN ATHLETES UP ON ATHLETIC.NET BY TUESDAY APRIL 12TH (ENTER TIMES AND DISTANCES)
The field events will start at 10:30am and running events will start at 11:00am with the girls 3200m.
RELAY AND RUNNING EVENT INFORMATION:
Distance medley relay for both boys and girls. This will consist of the legs:1200m-400m–800m-1600m. .
Weight Relay 4 x 100m relay this year as well. Athletes entered in this must throw an implement at our meet. For ease of downloading
PLEASE ENTER THIS WEIGHT RELAY EVENT AS THE SPRINT MED 1124 on athletic.net. I don’t believe there is a weight relay option on athletic.net This will also be a scoring event.
Limit running event entries to 5 athletes for lane events, unlimited for the 1600m and 3200m
In order to take care of the track and runways, please make sure that your athletes have spikes no longer than 1/8 inches.
SCORING AND AWARDS:
Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 respectively. Medals will be awarded to the top three placers in each event and ribbons for 4th through 6th place. Team trophies will be awarded to the first and second place teams for both boys and girls . Please list your athlete’s best attempts up to this point in the season on athletic.net FIELD EVENT INFORMATION:
With the exception of the high jump and pole vault, the top 9 places will advance to the finals.
Long jump: all athletes will have two preliminary attempts and the top 9 finalists will have 3 more attempts.
Discus: all athletes will have two preliminary attempts and the top 9 finalists
All other field events will have three preliminary attempts.
Each competitor will have three preliminary attempts and the finalists will receive 3 more attempts during finals.
A REMINDER THAT THE ENTRY FEE IS $100.00 FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS TEAMS TO ATTEND.
WE WILL ALSO BE CHARGING FOR ENTRY INTO THE MEET THIS YEAR SO PLEASE LET YOUR PARENTS KNOW.
