First and foremost, thank you all for coming to the 2010 Coquille Twilight Meet. All results will be uploaded to www.athletic.net after the meet. As with most schools, due to budget constraints, we are charging an entry fee ($50) to help offset costs. As this is our main fund raiser, we are charging a nominal gate fee for non-athletes/coaches. There will be a $2 per person/ $5 per family charge. This information should have been previously submitted to your Athletic directors. We will also have a concessions stand available.
Team trophies will be awarded to Boys and Girls teams. Medals will be awarded to first place athletes and ribbons will be provided for 2nd through 6th place positions.
Heats and flights will be seeded based upon either prior registered marks or override marks provided by coaches. Best marks will be competing in the fnal heat/flight. We ask that you provide each of your athletes an override mark if they have no prior entry, even a best guess would be sufficient. Please limit entries to 3 athletes per event in order to save time. If you have an athlete who is just trying to get a result in a field event, please have them approach the field judges separately.
Running Events: There will be NO finals. Times will decide place in event.
We will have 4 throws/jumps, no finals. Field event scratches with event judge. Starting heights (negotiable): HJ 4-0 and 5-0. Due to limited facilities and safety issues, we will not be providing Pole Vault.
Safety: The infield will be closed to all non-competitors. Coaches are allowed on the infield but use caution since we will have the discus and javelin competitions running back to back. Please advise all non-competing to stay out of the infield. There will be areas near all the infield invents that spectators may use.
Javelin and discuss warm up areas are limited to the infield. Please advise all competing athletics to use extreme caution during warmups.
Have all final entries submitted by Thursday, March 31st at 9am.
-
This will allow us time to determine the appropriate number of heats and flights.
-
You can make changes on the cite without contacting me until 9am on the day prior to the meet.
-
Please take care of as many scratches, substitutes, etc, before the 9 am deadline
-
NO ADDITIONS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE 9 AM DEADLINE. MEET DAY: Scratches and substitues only!
Fielder's Relay: We will be having a fielder's relay Prior to the 3000. This is intended as a fun event and will be awarded no team points. Medals will be given to the first place team. Guidlines: Teams must be coed, consisting of 2 male and 2 female athletes. At least 2 athletes must be "exclusively" field athletes. This is a 4 x 100 relay (with a twist).
Thank you again for attending our meet. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
