Track and Field Coaches:
Lewiston High School will be hosting the District II Meet of Champions on May 3, 2012 at Lewiston High School’s Sweeney Track. In order to offset the cost of medals, each school will be charged $50 per school or $5 per athlete ENTERED. The top three finishers in each event will receive a medal (gold, silver, bronze).
Once again, athletes must meet minimum performance marks. To enter an athlete they need to have meet or exceeded the qualifying standard during the 2012 season. OVERRIDE MARKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
If you have a top athlete who has not qualified due to injury, please contact Keith Stuffle directly. We will cap entries to three heats/flights in individual events and 2 heats in relays. Thus, only the top 24 entries in each event will participate in this meet as well as only the top 16 relay teams.
In field event, there will be 3 attempts in the preliminaries and the top 9 will go to the finals and have 3 additional attempts. Exceptions will be the pole vault and the high jump, where the bar will be progressive.
In the distance races, all competitors will compete in one heat.
Field and running events will all begin at 1:00 pm.
Each school must provide event judges and run the event they are assigned (bring at least 3 people).
Shot put: Grangeville, Deary, Genesee, Pomeroy
Discus: Prairie, Nez Perce, Logos, Highland
High jump: Troy, Timberline, Summit
Pole vault: Clarkston, Lewiston, Lapwai
Boys jumps: Moscow, Potlach, Asotin
Girls jumps: Kamiah, Orofino, Kendrick, CV
Finish line: Lewiston
Entries must be posted by 6:00 pm Monday, April 30, 2012. If they are not received by the above time, we will assume you are not attending. No additions or substitutions will be allowed after this time.
