Seattle Academy Relays

We're pleased to invite you to participate in the 11th Annual Seattle Academy Relays, held at West Seattle Stadium on Saturday, March 17. We're looking forward to hosting an early season meet that's both participatory and competitive. Hopefully the relay format allows your kids to "break the ice" with a fun team event. We've also tried to create a format that works for schools with smaller and larger squads. Having said that, We'll also have some great performances. Each season the meet includes numerous athletes who went on to win individual state championships at the State Meet.
A separate Pole Vault Jamboree will be held Friday, March 16th, at the Seattle Academy gym, with competition starting at 4:30PM. There will be a rubber runway (approach) roughly 60ft - spikes will not be allowed. The vault will not be contested at the Saturday Relay Meet, but we will again hold the fan-favorite Open 1600 - coaches, parents, athletes, teachers, etc. are all invited to compete and participate. Our other traditional fun event is the pole vault relay: a 2x200, with two runners sharing a pole and two lanes, with the handoff at the 200 exchange zone. We'll supply poles should your team want to participate!
The entry fee for the meet is $80 per high school team - the fee covers both the boys and girls teams. Additional event entry information for this meet can be found under the "register athletes for this meet" link.
Entries should be completed by midnight on Thursday, March 15th.
Please note that we will be charging admission for spectators. The fee will be $3 for adults, $2 for students/children.
Blocks will not be provided. Please bring teams blocks should your atheltes want to use them.
