ENTRY INFORMATION

Changes after this date, email to cameron_cross@ddouglas.k12.or.us
Changes in the entries made prior to Wednesday at noon will be reflected in the meet program.
Changes will be allowed at the coaches scratch/add meeting. Changes to flights and heats will be determined at the meet.
FEES
There is an entry fee of $75.00. Checks should be made payable to David Douglas High School. Please submit your entry fee by April 6, 2012.
COMPETITION INFORMATION
David Douglas High School is excited to be hosting the 1st Annual DD Invite. This will be an 8-team event this year. The teams entered this year are: David Douglas, Franklin, Gervais, Hood River Valley, Jefferson, La Salle, Westview and Wilson.
FIELD EVENTS WILL BEGIN AT 4:00 P.M.
Each team can enter two (2) athletes per field event. Field event athletes will receive 3 trials. The top 7 marks will qualify for finals, where they will receive 3 more trials. Participants will be seeded in flights by their 2012 marks (best going last). The high jump and pole vault will follow the “5 alive” format.
The high jump will be contested in one flight. The high jump bar will progress as follows:
Boys: 5’4”, 5’6”, 5’8”, 5’10”, 6’0”, 6’2”, and optional for remaining jumpers
Girls: 4’4”, 4’6”, 4’8”, 4’10”, 5’0”, 5’2” and optional for remaining jumpers
The pole vault will be contested in one flight. The pole vault bar will progress as follows:
Boys: 8’ 0”, 8’ 6”, 9’ 0”, 9’ 6”, 10’ 0”, 10’ 6” 11’ 0”, 11’ 6”, 12’ 0” and optional for remaining jumpers
Girls: 6’0”, 6’6”, 7’0”, 7’ 6”, 8’ 0”, 8’ 6”, 9’ 0”, 9’ 6”,10’ 0” and optional for remaining jumpers
Please weigh your pole-vaulters at your school and turn in a form at the pole vault verifying weight and correct pole. See form at OSAA.org website. We will not weigh vaulters, or check/weigh throwing implements.
RUNNING EVENTS WILL BEGIN AT 5:00 P.M.
Each team can enter two (2) athletes per individual running event. Lane assignments for all running events will be based on 2012 personal records. Each school will be allowed one relay team per event. Remember to manually enter your relay times to ensure accurate seeding. Athletic.net does not do this for you with relays.
In running events, all relay teams and individual contestants will report to the Clerk’s Circle in the centerof the field on the second call. They will be given instructions at that time.
TRACK FACILITY INFORMATION
Spikes Runners and Jumpers may wear spikes or racing flats. Spikes must be pyramid-shaped and no longer than 1/4 inch. Needle spikes and spikes longer than 1/4 inch will not be allowed on the track or on any of the runways. Coaches, communicate this to your athletes so that they have the type of spikes they need. Thank you for your help.
TRACK CONDUCT/ATHLETE WARM-UP: Our goal is to provide a showcase in which your athletes may compete, and to allow them access to proper warm-up and preparation for their events. With this goal in mind, we would ask that head coaches make sure that their athletes and assistant coaches follow these guidelines:
1.Warm-ups are on main field: Athletes preparing for their next event are
allowed on the field. NO SPECTATORS SHOULD BE ON THE MAIN FIELD. ATHLETES NOT CURRENTLY COMPETING OR WARMING UP SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MAIN FIELD.
2. Finish Line/F.A.T/Timers’ area: Coaches and athletes are not allowed in this area.
3. Press Box: Athletes are not allowed in this area. We want to keep this area clear for
meet officials. Results will be announced and posted as soon as they are available.
AWARDS/SCORING/FINAL RESULTS:
Ribbons will be given to 1st-6th places.
We will post results on the back wall of the stadium as they become available.
There will be team trophies awarded to the top boy’s team and the top girl’s team. Scoring willbe 10-8-6-4-2-1. All events will be scored.
Awards and results will be mailed to teams. Results will also be available on athletic.net following the meet.
MISCELLANEOUS
We have a covered stadium.
The concession stand will be open during the meet. David Douglas Dads Club will also have their world famous BBQ at the meet.
We ask your cooperation in keeping the stadium clean. Please use the garbage cans provided.
Athletes are encouraged to come dressed down for the meet. We have a bathroom under the main grandstands and next to the visitor’s snack bar. Athletes will not have access to the locker rooms.
ADMISSION
There is not an admission fee at the gate. Meet programs will be provided for each Head coach. Additional copies will be distributed to each team. Spectators may purchase programs for $1.00 each at the snack bar.

When making entries in athletic.net, please enter your athletes in the varsity category. In the relays, please manually enter the time for your team. Athletic.net does not automatically add in relay times. Use this year’s best time.
