2008 Tarrant County Private Middle School Championships
Dates: Tuesday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 26th

Divisions: 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys, 8th grade girls, 8th grade boys
Participation: Athletes are limited to a total of five (5) events, no more than three of which may be
running events.

**the fee is per school, not per division or team – if you have less than ten (14) athletes total participating and no relays the fee is $10 per athlete**
Awards: Medals will be awarded to top three places in each division. Team championship and runner-up trophies awarded in each division.
Entries: Due on www.athletic.net by Monday, April 21st, at 7 pm (to see if there are any problems with the upload into Hytek). Changes may be made online at www.athletic.net until Tuesday morning April 22nd at 10 am sharp for the 3200, Triple Jump, and all events run as prelims on Tuesday. Field events and events run as finals on Saturday (800, 1600, 4x400 Relay) may be changed until 10 am sharp Friday morning April 25th.
7th graders who compete in 8th grade division in any event must compete entirely in 8th grade division (including relays) in all events
**Schools are limited to one relay per relay event per division, three entries per event
per division for all other events**
There will be a Girls 4x100 Combined Relay and a Boys 4x100 Combined Relay, which is meant for schools who are not entering a relay in any of the two divisions per gender – for example, if you are not entering either relay in the 7th girls or 8th girls divisions, you may enter the Girls 4x100 Combined Relay; or, if the only relay you enter is an 8th boys 4x400 relay you may not enter the Boys 4x100 Combined Relay.
Scoring: Eight place scoring, double points for relays
Individual events: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Relay events: 20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2

Shotput: Pantego (head), FW Christian, Crown of Life, FW Academy
Discus: Faith (head), FW Temple, SW Christian, Coram Deo
Long Jump: Harvest (head), Colleyville Covenant, St. Vincent’s, StoneGate
Triple Jump: Liberty (head), Lake Country, Hill, Fellowship
High Jump: Trinity Valley (head), Bethesda, Oakridge
Pole Vault: FW Country Day (head), Grace Prep
All field events, with the exception of High Jump & Pole Vault, will have prelims & finals (three preliminary throws/jumps, top 8 throwers/jumpers will get three more in the finals immediately following the prelims)
