Coaches who are attending the 2009 Siuslaw Icebreaker: I want to thank you in advance for attending the 2009 Siuslaw Ice Breaker. The goal for this track meet is to allow for teams to open the season and “break the ice.” No team scores will be kept.
This year...due to massive budget cuts...we are charging (a modest $40) entry fee to help offset costs.

All results will be uploaded to www.athletic.net after the meet, and paper results (including copies of heat sheets) will also be available. You may pick up your packet in the press box at the end of the meet.
Safety: The infield is closed to all non-competitors. Coaches are allowed in the infield, but be careful as we have all three throwing sectors in the infield. Please help us by keeping your non-competing athletes out of the infield.
Javelin warm-up area: We will have an area to the east of the javelin sector flagged off for warm-up. Please be sure javelin competitors use that area, or the actual javelin sector for warm-up.
Heats and flights will be seeded, with the best marks competing in the final heat/flight.
We will have three jumps/throws and the top 8 will qualifiy for finals where they will be allowed 3 more trials.
Starting heights (negotiable): PV 6-0 and 8-0. HJ 4-0 and 5-0.
Entry Information: You must register for the meet on-line at www.athletic.net.
Very Important. Please read: Be sure to enter an override mark for each athlete for seeding purposes--especially in the running events. A time from last year, or even a best guess is fine. We just want to make sure that athletes are placed in the appropriate heat or flight.
Have your final entries on the site by Tuesday, March 17 at 4:00PM.
• This will give meet management time to import them in to Hy-Tek and get an idea about the number of heats and flights.
• You can make changes on the site (without contacting me) until 8:57 AM on the day of the meet.
• Please take care of as many scratches, substitutions, etc., before the 8:57 AM deadline.
• NO ADDITIONS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE 8:57 AM DEADLINE. MEET DAY. Scratches and substitutions ONLY!
