La Grande Invitational
COACHES: Please review the following material and respond with your meet entries on www.athletic.net by Tuesday, April 12th. (Changes my be made online up to 12 noon, day of meet)

Place: Eastern Oregon University Track, La Grande Oregon.

Entries: All coaches should make their entries on www.athletic.net no later than 9pm on Tuesday, April 12th. Each school may enter up to three Varsity Girls and three Varsity Boys in each individual event. Each school may enter one Varsity 4x1 and 4x4 for each gender. Each school may enter up to two JV entries for each individual event and one JV 4x1 and 4x4 for each gender. Athletes MUST be designated as either a Varsity or JV athlete. No one will be allowed to compete in both designations. If an athlete is registered as both a JV and a Varsity athlete we will automatically enter them into the meet as a JV athlete. Please send a separate Varsity and JV roster in each gender to my email or LGHS fax. Please be sure to spell your athlete’s names accurately and provide their year in school (9, 10, 11, or 12) as this information will be needed be entered on athletic.net.
Parking: Buses and automobiles should park in the dirt lot behind the football field, not along the road. Please enter through the side gates by the EOU track.
Meet Headquarters: Go to the finish tent for meet packet pick-up, coaches meeting and results. Food and beverages will be provided to all guest coaches.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available in the EOU athletic building no spikes allowed in the building and there will be portabotty’s scattered around the fields. However there are no showers available.
Water, first aid, and ice: These will be made available to athletes at the trainer’s tent.
Bib Numbers: Each athlete will be provided with a bib number and pins by the host school. Do not crinkle or alter the bib number. Please advise athletes to wear the bib number on the front of their uniform during their event(s).
Officials: All officials will be provided by the host school.
The Facility: Teams may place their tents on the west side of the track on the grass between the Track and Football facilities. Please help us keep EOU athletic fields clean by picking up all trash during and after the meet. There is no charge for competitors or spectators so help us be good guests.
Rules: OSAA and National Federation Track & Field rules will apply. See www.osaa.org for more information. A point of emphasis: please note that the race starter will check that athletes are in proper uniform (including not wearing jewelry) at the starting line.
Meet Referee: The host school will provide a Meet Referee (a person not on the coaching staff of the host school). The Meet Referee will make rulings regarding any concerns by the coaches or meet officials (starter, event officials, etc.) about conduct of the meet or interpretation of rules. If a school wishes to appeal the decision of the Meet Referee, the head coach of that school must ask the Meet Referee to convene a Jury of Appeals. The Jury of Appeals will be those head coaches not directly involved with athletes involved in the appeal. After a discussion of the matter chaired by the Meet Director and Meet Referee, a majority vote of the Jury of Appeals will determine the outcome of an appeal. The Meet Referee will break any tie vote by the Jury of Appeals.
Results: La Grande High School staff will provide printed meet results for each school and to the media using the HyTek Meet Manager software system soon after the completion of the final race. Complete and separate Varsity and JV meet results will be given to each school after the meet is concluded. LGHS will upload meet results to www.athletic.net.
Awards: Will be provided by the host school.
