Our goal is to bring together the best varsity athletes in Oregon, Northern California and British Columbia for a high quality, competitive track meet that honors the spirit of the late Steve Prefontaine, who graduated from Marshfield in 1969. We hope to gather outstanding competitors from small schools and large schools alike. Our Atlas Poly track and field event venues are first rate. With our FAT system, we run multiple-heat seeded finals.

No team scores will be kept. Rotarians will present medals to the top 3 finishers and individual awards to the Outstanding Male and Female Runners, Jumpers, Throwers, and Pre Mile winners. Ribbons will be awarded to places 4 through 8.
The entry fee is $10 per athlete or $125 maximum if you bring more than 12 athletes. Only two varsity athletes per event, please. If you have a third competitive athlete, please email me and we'll discuss entry. We also stage a masters' mile competition at 1:40, immediately following the high school mile events. Entry fee is $5 per athlete. If you're an adult staff member of a registered team, we're happy to waive the $5 entry fee.
A coach’s continental breakfast and hot lunch will be provided, as well as home-made cookies as an afternoon snack. Concessions and a BBQ will be available for fans and athletes. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for purchase and all individual champions and first-place relay members earn a Champion T-shirt.
