Williamston Invitational

Dear Coaches:

   There are a few changes for this year's format for the Williamston Track and Field Invitational. We are now allowing only three entries per team, per event, and have removed the Additional Qualifying standard, due to there being Division 2, 3 and 4 teams at the meet. A fair AQ standard was hard to develop with the wide range of state AQ's this year. In addition, we have dropped the end of the meet all freshman relay due to a lack of teams over the years.

    We are planning on accepting the entries via Athletic.net this year. We ask that scratch and adds be PHONED IN the morning of the meet to help speed up the computer process. We will send results out via email and post them on Athletic.net shortly after the meet. We will provide the phone number for scratches in a letter which will be sent in the near future.

Girls: High jump, shot put, pole vault (east pits)

Boys: Discus, Long jump, pole vault (west pits)

Long jump-Open pit 1:15 minutes boys and then finals (3 jumps)

Throws-3 throws and then a final round of 3 throws.

9 field event contestants advance to the final round, as 8 score.

Medals to top 3 relay team members and to top 6 in individual events

Team Trophies: 1st and 2nd place large school division; 1st and 2nd place small school division

Entries: We are using Athletic.net for the entries. There will be no AQ's this year, due to the wide variety of school sizes. You may enter three (3) people per event and one (1) relay team. Please have them entered by the deadline of Thursday, May 13 at 7PM.

All times will be FAT.

Spikes: 1/4 inch or less, please.
