We have our Parent Information Night this Thursday, March 6th, at 6:00 in the Cafeteria.
We begin our 2014 season with great excitement. We have a solid core of upperclassmen that have already shown great leadership and a number of sophomores and freshmen eager to work hard. We look forward to building on the successes of previous years.
One of our areas of focus this year will be on strengthening our team identity. To that end, we expect all of our athletes to attend every practice and every meet. Attendance at meets includes arriving early for team warm-ups and staying through the last event for the post meet gathering and to help put away the equipment. Any exceptions to these expectations should be quite rare and must be made by parents prior to the meet.
Because of our outstanding facility, we will be hosting a number of meets this season. We would be extremely grateful for any type of assistance that you could offer. Our team needs to provide a number of meet officials including timers and people to help run/measure field events. No experience necessary! Please e-mail me or any of the coaches if you would like to help out.
We are going to hold a "training session" for parent volunteers who would like to learn how to time, measure, and score meets on Tuesday, March 18th at 4:00
Our first meet is in Wednesday, March 19th here at Cleveland.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry Again! Saturday, May 3rd
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and will feature wine tasting (and sales) from Hedge’s Winery as well as Hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Track Parent MaryKay West is the chief organizer for this event, and needs a few people to help with the following:
1. Set up and decorations, and putting together advance wine orders - MaryKay will also help with this.
2. Food - Hors d'oeuvres and desserts (simple, easy to eat).
3. Check-In and Selling Raffle Tickets at the door
4. Taking orders at the end of the event and clean up
MaryKay will produce tickets and posters, purchase needed decorations, napkins and plates, etc. and will track registration and wine orders. She would love at least one non-senior parent so we have some continuity for the event.
You can contact MaryKay at email@example.com
