Volunteers

Here is the Sign-Up Genius for clubs to share with coaches and parents for different volunteer meet management responsibilities during the meet. Each registered volunteer will receive a free long-sleeve t-shirt and lunch. 

Remember, to be eligible for Junior Olympic XC entry fee reimbursement, clubs must have at least 1 person volunteer at this meet. 

Awards

• USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top 30 individuals in each age division.
• The top 3 teams in each division will also receive medals.

Advancement

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships will not have an association or region qualifier. This meet is NOT required for participation in the Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships.

Facility Rules and Guidelines

1. Remember we are guests of Heritage Christian (One) Church.
2. Barbecuing / outdoor cooking not allowed on site.
3. Please do NOT bring loud radios or music, pets, or unnecessary distractions to the meet.
4. Please keep the facility clean. Place trash in the waste receptacles before leaving.
5. Alcoholic beverages not allowed.
6. Park only in the designated parking areas.

USATF Rules of Interest

• USATF Rule 7.9(b) Ties between two or more teams shall be resolved in favor of the team whose last scoring member finishes nearer to first place.
  • For USATF Youth, the last scoring member is the 5th finisher on the team.
  • This rule in place since 2015 competition year.
• USATF Rule 306.3(c)
  • All members of the same club listed on the team declaration roster [in Athletic.net] at the Association finals are eligible to compete on the club's team (minimum of 5, maximum of 8) in the next round of Qualifications up to and including the National Championships as long as the team qualifies. 
    • For 2020, all USATF age-verified athletes are eligible for the National Championships.
  • In order to declare a team, a club must enter a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 athletes by the entry deadline. 
  • The composition of the team at each round can change if you submit a change form at the registration at packet pickup at least 2 hours prior to the race and any athlete changed must be listed on the declaration roster [in Athletic.net].
• USATF Rule 251 - Cross Country
  • The jersey or singlet worn by the members of a team in cross country shall be basically identical for each member in color and style, and must be clearly visible throughout the race, i.e., worn as the outer garment if other apparel items are worn underneath by one or more team members. Because of the nature of cross country running, the preferences of individual athletes in certain weather situations will allow other apparel items to vary widely without penalty.
  • Individuals not complying may be disqualified from scoring for a team.
