We will not be using shoe chips tomorrow.   This was something that just slipped my mind to send out.  My apologies.  The chips are in the bibs.

A couple of things, the individual lane assignments were done by regions.  We will spread the kids out at the line.  

We do not have the big clerking tent like normal.  This was something that both the USATF Dr and the local health department thought was not safe.  We will have the chip reader.  Athletes only will still be at the start.  We do not need a mass gathering at the start line.  We are going to try to do a call 10 minutes before get them through the chip reader and move them to the line and get them started. 

 

Finish area we will hold the younger two game groups until the parents pick them up.  Please get your athlete and move on.  This can be a place where social distancing is at a minimum.  

 

I will have a worker directing where to place tents.  We have room for more.  There is a fence along the lower side of the tent area that is not to be jumped or crawled under.  It is there for a reason.

MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.  Runners will have to wear a masks during the race. Masks will need to be put on as soon as they finish.

     When checking in,  packets are arranged alphabetically by club and alphabetically by unattached athletes.   Please check the posted HYTEK Rosters and Bib Numbers.  At the white registration trailer,  request bibs by club name or listed bib numbers.   For unattached athletes, request bibs by last name or listed bib number.  Bibs are to be worn on the chest.  Packets contain bib with chips on the back and four pins.   We are not using shoe chips this year.

I wanted to put a couple of things our there about the online ticketing policy that we have for this meet.  I am sure this in something that has never been used before.  The tickets are FREE.  No cost to you at all. 

We have to do this for the COVID contact tracing.  You must answer the questions.   We felt this was much better than doing paper forms at the temp check area.  If you do not want to go through contact tracing then you are not allowed in the meet.  This is a health department regualation and not up for debate.

 A couple of things to know:

1. Tents can only have 2 sides on them.  They are not allowed to be fully enclosed per state regulation. We will have specific locations for tents to go.  If you have not sent me you are bringing on then please do.  If you got one from Goff then I will have the list from them. 

2. The state has a restriction to in person dining right now.  Everyone will have to do carry out. 

Now to the race info:

Packets will be available at the course on Friday from 9 am till dusk.  Saturday and Sunday from 8 am till the end of the last race. 

Course will be open on Friday from 9 am till Dusk and you can see the course on Saturday and Sunday.  There will be some gaps in between races due to the schedule we had to make.  MASKS MUST BE WORN ALL DAY NO EXCEPTIONS EVEN RUNNERS ON THE COURSE ON FRIDAY.  If you are not going to follow this guidelines then you will be asked to leave. 

            Tickets:  The ticket system is no cost to anyone.  I made this for our contract tracing. Everyone at the park on Friday must have a ticket, even those running.  Saturday and Sunday the runners will not need a ticket since we have the bibs for the finishers and we can tell who is there by that.  Coaches need a ticket for all three days.  MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES BY SPECTATORS AND COACHES. If you have an issue with this do not come.

Waves and time of waves will be sent out Thursday.  This will give us time to look at the numbers.  

Runners will have to wear a mask through the clerking tent and to the line.  They are not to drop on the ground, they have to keep it with them through the race.  Coaches will not be allowed on the starting line. Runners must put it on after done racing. These guidelines are not up for debate.

No changes to anything after Wednesday at 9 pm.

We are still a go to have the meet on December 12 and 13.  Packet pick up will be at the course only.  There will be no guided tours on Friday of the course. The  course will be open Friday for packet pick up and to see the  course, just no guided tours. There will be no award ceremony at the meet.  Everyone in attandance must wear a mask.  If you have an issue with that, then stay home.

Waves will be at least 125 runners and they will be randomly drawn.  I know many do not want to see this but that is almost impossible with no qualifying meets and the differences in cross country courses.  If we can get the number to 150, we will.

We will have everyone get a free ticket that will be used for contract tracing and you must answer the questions on the ticket system that you do no have any symptoms.  We will do a temp check when entering the facility.

We have permission from the local health department to still have the meet.  This is with the restrictions that were put out by the Govenor.  Those restrictions do not pertain to outdoor events like cross country. We are still a go.
