Cost:              $250 entry fee per school (Fee covers both genders)                               

Admission:     $5.00 for all spectators.

Entries:  Each school is allowed 3 competitive entries per event with the exception of the pole vault (2)

In the PV, 3 can be entered, but one must be scratched on meet day.  (We only have one set of pits) 

All entries are to be submitted to the host school using www.athletic.net by Wednesday April 6th 2017 before NOON.  Entries can be made prior to this date, but all corrections or resubmissions are final at the above deadline!  


Awards:  1st place and runner up trophies will be awarded.  Medals will be awarded to 8 places in all individual events and to 4 places in relays. Scoring will be to 8 places in all events!

Trainer:  There will be an athletic trainer on duty and ice and water will be provided.

Concessions:  The Freeland Athletic Association will be opening the concession stand. 

Team Parking:  Buses are to drop off the teams at the main entrance to the stadium and park in a designated area near the high school.  

Team Camps:  Teams may not set up tents or gathering “camps” on the infield of the track due to the turf field.  Camps will be set-up in the designated areas outlined in your arrival packet. 

Coaches will be allowed on the infield! 

Only athletes being escorted to the appropriate starting line by the FHS Staff should be on the infield during the meet.



*Field Event Scratches are due at the start/finish line upon arrival

11:30     Coaches meeting: Barn (Located near the South East entrance of the stadium)

Implement weigh-in will take place at this time in the same location.

Current 2017 MHSAA Field Event order will be followed

12:00     Pole vault begins.  (Opp. Gender PV 20 min. after conclusion of the 1st Gender.

                Girls start at 6’0” & Boys at 9’6” with 6” raises until 5 or less are left

12:10     Running event scratches are due at the start/finish line.

                Changes can be made to relays at any time during the meet.

12:15     All Remaining Field Events will begin.  4 attempts with No finals in the SP, LJ, Discus. 

                LJ will be open order with a time limit (TBD). 

                Girls HJ start at 4’4” & Boys at 5’4” with 2” raises until 5 or less are left.

12:45     Running events begin.  All events are timed finals (no prelims).  FAT will be used. 

               Girls run first in 2017 and all events will be run separately. 

A rolling time schedule will be used from this point on. 

Note: We ask for your assistance with the meet.  If you see something that has been overlooked, please bring it to our attention ASAP.  Every attempt will be made to provide smooth transitions between heats and events.  We appreciate your patience.
